I just replaced both of them in my reclining sectional. I was able to attach the new end to the original position, the screwed on end. I took the whole seat and attached foot rest off easily. 2 Allen bolts and 2 weeks screws hold the seat. 4 Allen bolts hold the foot rest. I tipped the whole seat up and got to the mounting point. It was a lot easier once I figured out the trick.

just replaced my pull release. on some units the arm lifts off same as the back. easy, peasy.

We were right with you until we started screwing the bracket into the side of the sofa. There wasn't any wood where we were drilling, just cardboard. It's a Natuzzi, but any solid wood is 6 inches below where an electric screw driver can reach.

The clip that attaches to the rear of the chair sometimes won’t fit through the front of the chair when you thread it through to the back. One of mine did, and one didn’t. I had to cut the clip off before threading through the front of the chair ( pull cord attachment area) to the back. I then still used the clip but covered the area that I had to cut with some heavy duty tape. Hopefully it will continue to work.

I'm disgusted that this cable has frayed and is about to break on the sectional that we bought only 2 years ago!

My second one just failed again. This $845 chair and 1/2 has been a disappointment. The money spent , not worth it.

This was not really helpful to someone who needs step by step instructions on how to replace the handle.
