I don't this too often as most of stuff is long tail. Doing research on pricing if I find a group of comics selling for $7-$8 a piece I do one listing of variations for the group at say 2 or 3 bucks with flat rate shipping. Same postage rate, $5.99, I charge for one book. Sometimes it works pretty well, other times not so well. At the very least they are listed instead of sitting in a box.

not enough! I do however get up every morning and delete/relist every item that is going to expire that day.

I keep all listings up 100 days. Then end them relist using sell similar.... check listings for errors add a new detail, specify occasion and yes change the price. I usually raise the prices or leave them the same. I run 20 to 30 percent off sales every quarter for just 4 days over the weekend. 11 years of selling. Some multiple low cost items (particularly one I had 500 of) I have had for many years. They are bread and butter items. Average Item number turnover is 7 to 9 percent of number of listings every 3 months. The throttling by the search engine happens after 10 percent...

My shop has a quite a few extremely unique, one of a kind items that are impossible to find replicas of. So eBay can never accurately price them.

Thanks Casey!! I liked the method of listing buy date and purchase amount in the sku I have a very bad habit of not listing my inventory when I bring it home! I have a ton of “inventory record books “ I purchased when I started reselling 9 years ago! I start out listing my purchases … where i purchased items date amount date listed date sold then of course a month later I get lazy and buy a new “pretty book” and start again ..vicious cycle! Maybe it would just be easier to just put the info in the sku when I’m listing.🤦🏾‍♀️ love your content as always!

My SKU is just what you described someone else does. I do this for two reasons. One so I know that information when I get or give an offer. Two so I can enter it in MRG after the import. Maybe I won't when I get better and hopefully bigger.

eBay isn't putting many people's items out there to be seen. If you check how many views have and watcher's is proof of that. Is why my store is super slow. The algorithm is corrupt.

If you list quality items, they will get seen and bought. Go post a used iphone and watch what happens

The algorithm isn’t an issue. EBay makes the most money (fees) when our items sell. Why would they hide your (or anyone’s) items? Good photos, good keywords, items people are searching for and being an active account…those are the keys. Views are meaningless. I’ll take 1 view and a sale over 50 views and no sale anytime.

We sell more delicate antiques , not junk, and they take time to sell, and paid up for these so cannot just cut prices 50 and 70% off; though we do price competitively. When they do sell , we do well. Wow! who is your friend selling $3M per year on Ebay; would love to get ideas from his store, if you can share.

I have bad buys from when I first started a year ago that haven't moved. I started a fire sale about 3 weeks ago on just those items, $5 for shirts & $10 on jeans/pants. It's working, stuff is moving. I was just going to pull them down and donate but decided to give this a try. I'll give it a few more weeks and whatever is left, I'll donate that. I'd rather try and make a few dollars and put it towards better items that I now know how to source! It all adds up.

My question is when is an item/listing considered "old"? It's obvious that 2y is old but at what point does it become "old" is it 90 days, 5mths, 7mths?

To be clear if you sell or get rid of the lower sell through items your sell through will go up and the algorithm will notice and send you more traffic ?

Yes. Having lots of bad items with no views and no sales tells eBay you sell crap. If all. That starts moving out eBay will view your store as more desireable and push you up on search

1:30 I was in west palm beach in march and there were mfers ripping u turns everywhere. I never seen so many u turns being made. Is that poor road planning or something? I live in chicago fwiw.

@@RockstarFlipper Hi. Actually I meant buyers. Do they go seeking the lowest price, geography, shipping etc? Also do you have any information about items I want to sell on Amazon and Walmart that do not have UPC codes? When I buy wholesale 6 packs, most times they don’t have the codes. GSI is too expensive. How come you dont do sell similar any items over 6 months in the store instead of showing so many years. I wasnt and in April I discovered when I went to relist they were gone....ebay said a glitch....thank goodness for list perfectly. Then I tried to sell similar to others and the prices were different the next morning...higher. Fought this in April. SO in May with down from 1500 listings to 200....I tried to sell similar and relist and their pages were showing no buttons at the bottom and 5 phone calls to ebay saids all glitches, but here we are in June and still cant bulk relist or sell similar. Restarting store from scratch again and hoping list on LP in bulks will work on ebay. Last night ebay rep said will get someone to fix it....what the 8th guy....aint holding my breath. To loose listings and changed prices and now bulk....really discouraging.
