Dowager’s hump (neck hump), or postural kyphosis, is a condition that usually occurs due to slouching. If not treated properly, it can lead to serious consequences such as hyperkyphosis (reversal of normal curve) and vertebral fractures. However, if you notice a small hump at the back of your neck in time, you can get rid of it completely by correcting muscular imbalances and changing some of your daily habits.

Me too, after ONLY 1 time! Same evening I wanted to do it few tome, it scared me that I dont know where is the limit in doing these daily 😊 few days I doing them 1-2 time daily, and I think I almost totally solve my previous great spine and neck problems... great and simple exercises 😊💪🏆

I’ve been to physical therapists & Drs asking for years what muscles I need to strengthen to stand up straight & remove the hump. NONE ever told me! Great vlog & thank you!

I’m in my late 50’s. I was able to correct the forward head posture to get my head in line with my shoulders, but have been able to see much change in the dowers hump

These exercises are great and so doable. I have been shown many exercises for the neck hump and these are one of the best. You can do these when you have a moment throughout the day. 😊

It will be fixed only and only with exercises. Is telling you this a woman that has chronic recurrences and gets back to normal only and only after insisting a lot with the right exercises, evennnn when it hurts!

I am 64 and I notice this hump. It started to get bigger and I asked my doctor he said nothing to worry about. But, it's embarrassing. I started today and will keep on doing it. Thanks Doc.

So glad I saw this! ,I'm turning 70 I'll be working on it right away.I noticed that my adult granddaughter has this lump which concerned me at her age, now. It makes sense . she's on devices at work and home and then some .I will share this news! Thank you 🙏🌅

Thank you Dr. Mandell! I have that hump and have had it since I was in my 20’s. I have been to several doctors in the past about it and they said it was nothing to worry about. It has always made me very self conscious. I enjoyed these exercises and will be doing these on my breaks.

Have you ever been told you are tongue tied? If so they link that hump with that. Have seen young children where their hump was fixed.

I am going to do these religiously! I can't believe even doing them once at 2am because I couldn't sleep from the tightness and inflammation .... I already feel better in terms of a little partial release but also because these I am feeling these muscle groups burn in a good way! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Unimaginable how this helped me after maybe 5-6 repeating, twice daily! I had great spine and neck problem over 1 year.. Im 52y 😊 This already helped me in extremely short period, I will keep doing it once daily 😊 God bless you for your help 💜😊

@@MangaSkills I do like Dr. said, stand in all those 4 position for 20 seconds every of them. In begining I did it twice a day, now I doing them once daily :) I hope it will help you same as they help me, it will be orogresion for the better for sure ❤

I had been doing this Y &T exercises with my physiotherapist for correct posture and increasing muscles strength. I wish I could have seen your video earlier , I would have saved some money 😂.

I had this hump since my 20's and even had a doctor ask me if it hurts, I thought I had a abnormal growth of bone and just lived with it, I finally know what it is and that it is fixable. I am now 63 and I am so happy to finally be able to work on getting this monkey off my back ( and not a nice one)as I always called it.

I have been increasing my yoga exercises a long time ago and never thought of these type of exercises. I deal with some lower lumbar issues which a Dr wanted to put two 10" inch rods on each side of my back. Since keeping up with the yoga exercises, I will definitely add these to my daily schedule. Edited Adding these has been helping each day with my other stretches. Thank you again for all your knowledge and wisdom. I love these exercises! As you say, they are easy to do and you can do them anywhere. I do them first thing in the morning when I get up as a gentle start to the day and then again after sitting at my computer for awhile. Wonderful! Thanks, Dr. Mandell!
