how to get married in UAE | filipino-arab couple | step by step guide, requirements, and fees

Hi everyone! After one year, we finally made a video about the process on how to get married here in Abu Dhabi, UAE for interracial couples (filipino and arab). When we first uploaded our video about our marriage documents being accepted by Philippine Embassy, we received quite a lot of messages asking us the requirements and process.
So here it is! We hope that this could help. If you have any clarifications, just comment below and we will try our best to answer.

My son is married with a muslim from Turkey, the met in the university in Germany. They are very happy have good jobs both manager earning very good and the parents have holiday houses in Turkey and they building a house now here. And I love my grand children very much. Hi, manpreet. Well in Islam it’s preferred if the woman does convert, but its not by force. Its the womana right to choose if she wants to or not. Best to have a mutual agreement with your partner.

Yes they will give a certificate which will be sent to you by empost. To register for PSA the embassy will give you a list of requirements.

If you want to look for one, it's better you meet someone in person not online or maybe some of your friend will introduce you to one filipina. It is better to check the family background of a girl you like.

I think it depends on you. If u want ur marriage to be officially registered to PSA. I know someone who didn’t register their marriage to our Embassy.

Hi Kat. First of all thank you so much for the very detailed video. Can i ask you? My father passed away and my brother cannot come to uae to attend the wedding. So regarding the "consent letter from your brother stating that you can get married and why he could not show up" and " SPA stating that your male brother is assigning your male friend as a representative" - are these two things in separate documents or both included in one document? Also can you please clarify if this needs to get legally notarised first before it gets authenticated by DFA and attested by UAE embassy? Im looking forward to your response. 😊

hi Valerie, 1. lccm form- eto ba ung pinadala mo sa mama mo? ipapaatest din ba to sa pinas Chaka red ribbon. (u can get this from ph embassy here in UAE, no need to send to PH) 2. Ung sabi mo na dhl ang gagalaw with your authorization letter, pano gawin un. Pwede ba to pa expedite. - ( Yes, u have to request an authorization letter mentioning na ang DHL ang magpa process ng papers mo. U can request this one again sa PH embassy here in UAE) 3. Hello. I'm a Muslim Filipina and Im getting married to a Muslim Jordanian. I have applied for my Cenomar and I'm hoping to receive it from the Philippines in September with the DHA stamp and UAE embassy stamp. Do I still need to get an LCCM or fill that out? We plan on getting married at home and have the Mazoon/Sheikh marry us via Zoom due to covid. So Im confused with the LCCM. I dont really care about my marriage being registered in the Philippines. Hope you can help me out with this.

LCCM is a requirement by the Phil Embassy if you want to register your marriage in PSA. But if you have no plans of having it registered, i dont think u need that one.

That doesn’t make sense , for the nikah to be valid there needs to be two witness and a dowry from the groom and the bride needs a male family member to give her away

They should write, “ i name of (brother or father) have no objection to the marriage of my sister or daughter (your name) to the so called person( fiancé). I am not able to attend the wedding cuz i am in ( country), so i appoint ( the name of the male who will represent you in place of ur bro/father) to be the representative to my sis/daughter in my stead.

Hi, just take it one step at a time. Don’t get overwhelmed by the requirements dahil sobrang dami tlaga. Especially now na Covid ang hirap mag process ng docs. But u will get there, and makakasal din kau. Just focus on each doc na need mo ngayon. List it all down. Then accomplish it one by one.

hi just want to ask po kung ok lang po ba na dito na ako magprocess ng requirements sa philippine, i have my birth certificate po from psa also the cenomar po then mag pa attorney po ako na may sign ng both parents ko po na pinapayagan nila akong magpakasal sa dubai sa muslim fiancée ko, kailangan ko pa po ba sign or letter with a sign ng younger brother ko? pa help nmn po and pa add nmn po ng mga requirements na kailangan ko, anyway may 2 months old na baby na po kami ng fiancee ko and balak po namin na dalhin ko sa dubai at magpakasal po para maipangalan na sa kanya yung baby at maging legal po kami na titira sa dubai with our little one po, thanks po sa magiging advice nyo po ng marami 😘

Yes, same process since you're plannjng to get married here in UAE. Need parin ng letter from father or if deceased na si father ur brother can do it. Same ng ginawa namin. We already mentioned in the video the requirements. And it's been 1 year already since this video so im not sure if everything is the same. Still best to inquire in the embassy. All the best.

hi i hope u can answer my question, im just confused because of the pandemic i tried to get cenomar through online (psa) and let it delivered here direct in dubai and its about to arrived in a weeks time (it took almost 3months) and u mentioned that it should be dfa authenticated? so should i ask one of my family member to get it from philippines and authenticated in dfa in philippines before sending here in dubai?

Hi maam, dto po ba kayo sa abu dhabi? I am not sure po kung ano ang process sa case nyo but when we registered our marriage at the Philippine Embassy, may form po kami na finill-upon ang tawag is Report of Marriage, tapos may nakalagay dun “reason bakit delayed ang pag report ng marriage” prang ganun. Siguro para yun sa mga kagaya ng case inyo. Better parin ask the Embassy. :)

Yes po sis nalito kasi kame saan pwd pakasal kasi ung partner ko german nag tanong na kame sa church Wla pa daw cla open for wedding sa consulate naman hindi kame pwd sa consulate nya pwd sana kaya Lang Wla pa ding open for wedding kasi dahil sa covid

@@arabiclanguage6107 i did not give mahr, as she did not ask. I told the imam that i already gave her a set amount (it was random amount of my choice) because the imam needs to write that i have or will give. It will depend on you n your partner agreement on the amount or if she wants any money.
