So how often do I have to do this exercise to notice a difference? And for how long do I do this exercise (per day for example)?
@jimmycannonvoicecoach
@jimmycannonvoicecoach 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Victoria, Thanks for the question. You should notice a difference in your mask area straight away, but putting it into practice takes a bit longer. It's really about finding a balance of resonance throughout your body.

Hi Jasu, if your voice is cutting out, it normally means that your vocal folds are not adducting properly creating a breathy sound.. Is it a breathy sound or no sound at all? here's my email if you wanted to get in touch: hello@jimmycannon.com

I have a low soft voice and I'm unable to project a loud, sharp and clear voice like others. I thought I'm being very nasal. Your video suggests I'm not nasal enough? I'm confused. Lol. Care to clarify please? (You can watch my recent videos to see how I sound like. Note, some of them are sped up 1.5x )

I saw your recent video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rJimm9x_kpO9XWw.htmlsi=ULamEBtUBKFNeWN1, and first and foremost, I subscribed. I love the idea that you're challenging yourself to do a daily vlog. Personally, I'd like to see more of where you live, the environment, the people, and so on. Also, it's not about gripping your nose to talk louder, but about producing more resonance in your mask region. I highly recommend that you watch my breathing videos first.

Hi Jimmy! I have been diagnosed with spasmodic dysphonia. My voice is breathy and cuts out at times, without warning. However, I have noticed that when I speak in a higher pitch, with my head voice and 'nasally', I sound much clearer and speak with less difficulty. Your video is helpful and encouraging; thank you. Are there additional exercises that I can do to speed the transition from chest voice to that sweet spot you referred?
@jimmycannonvoicecoach
@jimmycannonvoicecoach 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jack, I would firstly suggest that you seek help from a clinician. I understand the voice, but only from a sub-clinical perspective. I would however, recommend SOVT exercises that help to create more resonance in the mask are and take away pressure from the folds.

@@jimmycannonvoicecoach Jimmy, thank you for your suggestions! As you can guess, I was distracted for a time (7 mos!) and have not taken the action you suggested yet. I practice several of your exercises each day and they help. But as you mentioned, my issue probably requires a specialist. Do you know if someone (a clinician) I can consider contacting? In a more timely fashion! Also, would you please direct me to the S??? exercises you suggested? Thanks much! And, keep doing what you’re doing. There are lots of us out here that need it!

I have a question do you think you could try help on something for me?. I sometimes think that i have a very loud voice, it bothers me too much and I'm trying to get it to be calmer and softer like the KZfaqr " Ella Bella" I tried everything but nothing works. Thanks!

She's using mostly her head voice, and vocal creak, which is a breathy sound, not really connecting her chest voice. It's a bit complicated to explain here, I might do a video...

This was really helpful! In order to talk/speak nasally thorough out your life,what I felt is you need to lift your root of the tongue while talking? Can it be done like naturally? Like,without trying, effortlessly?
@jimmycannonvoicecoach
@jimmycannonvoicecoach 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's about allowing your muscles to align themselves through practice, so when you come to speak, you're able to achieve the desired effect.
