►The Mercedes M272 V6 and M273 V8 engines aren't known for being particularly prone to oil leaks, so if you have an odor of burnt oil or are finding oil stains in the driveway, it might be easier than you'd expect to locate the cause. Thanks Dany, very well presented in a language that we non-pro's understand. Is there any safe practice to add Permatex or Loctite non-hadening sealer to the camshaft pluggs? Any experience with that? And possibly add to those other leak areas as well?

Do you recommend draining the engine oil before replacing the cam plugs?

I’ve replaced the PCV a few times now and I’m still having a leak. I even replaced the part behind it on the camshaft. It’s still leaking and the camshaft cap looks fine. Any ideas? Am I over tightening the pcv screws?

Hey guys I have a 2009 e350 and I have an antifreeze leak that I haven’t found plus I have oil in my reservoir so I’ll need to do a flush after I change the oil filter housing gasket I’ve already changed the oil cooler and gasket. What I’m asking is where are the common area you’d get an antifreeze leak?

It didnt seem to be problematic to find an engine with all the oil leaks for the purposes of recording the tutorial

You're absolutely correct, it's a rolling example of exactly what to look out for on these. In our Post-Purchase Inspection video of this specific car, we found that I have a whole lot of work to do on this thing. Expect to see more of our journey in fixing neglect on this car very soon! -Danny
