A lot of the deficiencies listed from dopamine sounds like a lot of the things I’m feeling, I mean a lot, I’m on anti depression so would it be safe for me to use tyrosine? I just got some vitamin d3 because of the use in mood improvement. I’ve also looked at trt and my levels were really low and then low normal. Overall I feel horrible and hopeless and all I have recently are negative feelings and thoughts

So glad I found your video. It's been very informative, I experience "can't be bothereditis" on a daily basis and have done so for many years. I have been concerned that my brain chemistry is out of kilter but now think it's more tied into my adrenal function, I often feel drop dead tired in the afternoon and struggle to get out of bed in the mornings. Your information has given me some hope that I can address my apathy. Thank you.

Adrenal fatigue perhaps. How do you handle sugar? Do you eat processed foods or do you cook your own? Do you think you might be hypoglycemic? Treat sugar like the plague, and caffeine is deadly on the adrenals. Try to eat lots of fresh complex carbs. Leafy lettuce and other nutritious vegetables. Even carrots are a no no, considered a simply carb or it covers to sugar. Also potatoes. Good luck.

Now they seem to push cod liver oil for amazing benefits. Claim it is a better anti inflammatory than turmeric. You get vitamin d and a, your epa and dha? (Spelling), and probably a lot more benefits. One has to be careful with cod liver oil, majority is so processed that they wind up adding vit a & d. Find a good one, the oil should always be refrigerated. No pill forms. BTW, thanks for your comment, I remember reading about fish oils and how good they are for the brain.

Hi Dr Janelle. I’m taking 300 mg 5-HTP product that also contains 600 mg of fava beans in it. To my knowledge fava beans is high in folate. Is it fine to take this 5-HTP product along with a 400 mcg folic acid supplement or that would be too much folate in my body?

It was suggested to supplement with a low dose, and just see how things go… So i’ve been taking Sisu @25mg (5X’s per week) and have noticed a big difference in my strength & stamina during physical activities !!! FYI >Our power went out on the weekend, and I had to climb the stairwell 4 floors, more times than I would have liked,… Last year, my legs would feel like jello just below the 2nd flight, so I couldn’t be more pleased & grateful to the nurse who casually mentioned the above-noted 🙏🏼

Tried to stop coffee many many times before and always relapsed after a few days due to the massive depression and lack of motivation to do anything. Its not a real derpression coz I cured it with two strong coffe cups so many times before... This time I got some tyrosine, vit b6, folate, and wating for my Iron suplment to arrive. I hope it works. Tyrosine with some hot cocoa drink did help me a lot this morning, but I still miss that kick in the ass that coffee gives me. That feeling that no matter what - you can handle it.

I know this is an older video but I have a question regarding caffeine use for ADHD issues. I have found that caffeine really seems to help my son with his school to be more focused but now concerned about the further depletion of dopamine by it's use. I am getting ready to start him on both L-Tyrosine and HTP, should I stop the use of caffeine earlier in the day that he's been drinking while using L-Tyrosine and HTP? Thank you for your videos, they are been a wealth of information for me!

I’m confused as to why we need to increase dopamine vs serotonin when I’ve heard that serotonin is the mood hormone? 🤔

Both are neurotransmitters that impact mood. Check out my video called l-tyrosine and 5-htp. It'll explain the differences between dopamine and serotonin

Just came across your video, so many doctors think it's ok if your Ferritin level is above 20 as a male or female. They won't suggest a supplement so what would you do?

@@DrJanelleSinclair I have a son 21 and daughter 18) and their level was right at about 21 for Ferritin. Some doctors don't suggest taking a supplement yet when I do some research it seems that a person would want it to be higher and not that low. So I get confused.

@@jjpauline1828 I'd suggest that you just supplement yourselves with iron. 50-100mg a day would be great. Then retest levels 3 months later to ensure they have improved. In module 5 of my free online course about depression and anxiety I discuss nutritional deficiencies including iron. I have information about testing and supplementation in there. www.drjanellesinclair.com/ecourse I've included a supplement guide also in the course

Her tyrosine dosage recommendation for my body weight (150 lb) is 6,800 - 10,000 mg. Can that possibly be right? My supplement is 500 mg capsules. I was taking 2 per day before meals and feeling somewhat anxious/wired, so was trying to balance with 2 5-HTP 100 mg caps. I've been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Was hoping this would replace the meds. Neither seem to have worked for me.
