Omg. You are great. I’m 72 yr old woman and I needed to change the belt on my mower. Your instructions were so thorough and easy to follow. I’ve never worked on mechanical things before. The only set back I had was not having enough muscle to put the spring back on. Darn it. Had to call my neighbor for that one step. Then of course he wanted to help put it back under the mower. Very nice gesture. But now I can only say I did most of it. Thank you for taking the time to do this perfect video. You are appreciated.

Thanks so much for the most clear and accurate explanation of belt replacement……my 350 belt came off this am, a stick got wedged in front and dislodged the belt. Your video made it easy for me to straighten out the belt and the 3/8’s drive popped it back on. Tested, works fine. Your video saved me a couple of hundred bucks at least.

Easy and very simple to follow tutorial. Many thanks. Cost of genuine belt in Australia US $92 - $105 (AUD $ 140-160 ea). The quality seems not all that good as they do not last with heavy work. I was tired of paying high price and replacing regularly. I fitted an agricultural 144inch circumfrence 5/8in wide (JD specs are 146in by 1/5in) at a cost of US $30 (AUD $50) and does fantastic job. Seems much stronger and has lasted!! Your advice and the new belt has saved me $$$$.

@@ChrisJohnson-hk6es Sorry to hear. It’s difficult to say what may be the issue without seeing the machine. Best one on the Internet, excellent instruction video! Your step by step instructions are the easiest on YOuTube for the x300 series mowers. Will do! I just found out if you are snapping your belt often? The mower deck adjusting hanger/bolt on the right side may be a issue. I just performed, taking one off and cutting it. It was harder to take off and it may be just as easy to cut the end off while it’s on the machine. It seems the threaded part may interfere with the belt making it snap or brake way before the belt is worn out. I need to put that video up but have editing to do.
