Jesus Ortega This is a signal relay. It has nothing to do with push starting the bike.

I am assuming that you have no signals left AND right. If this is so then there is a possibility that your relay is bad. BUT....most of the time I see this failure it is the switch. The relays on modern bikes are solid state, and just don't fail very often. Your bike has been exposed to 12 years of moisture, and the contacts within the switch can corrode and cause poor contacts. I would use a multimeter in continuity mode to test continuity on the switch left and right. You would need to unplug it from the bike and find the connections corresponding to that function. Otherwise, there is a way to manually power up the relay to see if it send signal to your lamps. This is a bit more sensitive because you have jump battery positive to the correct pin on your relay and not reverse it. I don't know if you have an OEM relay or an aftermarket one but I hope this gets you in the right direction.

If you have no signals left AND right the problem will likely be upstream of your signalling switch, or in center contact of the switch. If the problem is on only one side then it is not likely an upstream device like the relay. That side's signaling switch contact could be intermittent, you may have loose wiring anywhere between the switch and the signal or its ground connection. Please tell me what you mean by "iffy but it does work." TSTindustries I have the same problem on my 07 R6. My battery is not as small as yours and will not come out. Do I have to remove the 4 tank bolts first in order to remove the battery?

Aznemptyjry If you have an oversize battery and you have already tried removing it with the wires disconnected to no avail, then try to take out the bolts holding the tank bracket. This will allow you to pivot the tank bracket up and make enough room to take out the battery.
