A very good well produced video on how to install the Rottweiler air filter product. Clear and precise instructions. Race Reels done a great job of filming, editing the footage. You made it look so easy to install. Seriously, I think an 8 year old could follow your instructions and install the Rottweiler air intake. And the storage bag, genius. Hi. I have a 2020 701 Husqvarna Supermoto, does the kit(pcv+Rottweiler intake) still fit as in older models? Because this year model as a lot more electronics (switchable power modes, cornering abs, traction control). Adding a auto-tune will increase the performance? Congrats for the very well made video.

This intake plus just a slip on (no db killer), SAS/Canister delete, and PC6 make this bike nuts. I may order the blued titanium tekmo header soon, but that won't be as noticeable as these mods. Power wheelie oops happens a lot.

The air filter can go from the head & outward on both sides and probably going forward. Hopefully the ECU don't need to be relocated, but that would be ok too. You would sale those kits world wide! Imagine having the seat 3 inches Lower! Or even 2 inches would be great! Hopefully I don't have to do this meself? 😃😆🤣

You don't have to map, but on this bike at least a fueling dongle is recommended depending on the model. If your bike is a 690 and 2021 or later, and an EU version, please contact info@rottweilerperformance.com for information on fueling that model.

So you can just remove the hose that leads to the sas/cannister and leave it open?
@RottweilerPerformance4 жыл бұрын
Here is a link to the PDF instructions on the emissions kit. This may help answer what to do with the hoses. If you aren't doing an emissions kit, (most do) then yes, you can leave the little valve plugged in with no hoses to it. We would maybe reccomend just plugging the holes at the valve. www.dropbox.com/s/78ewb85evfdjsq9/KTM%20690%20%282019%2B%29%20Emissions%20Removal%20Instructions.pdf?dl=0

@RottweilerPerformance4 жыл бұрын
Benjamin, thanks for reaching out. There is a tick box on the page where you buy these parts that asks you if you want us to pre-program the Powercommander. If you chose any of those options the Powercommander should be ready to go. A setup sheet should have also come inside the box with your name on it, everything we set up and a signature showing the setup has been completed by our techs here. If you did not tick any of the map setup options, we send the Powercommander as it comes from the factory which is still good, but probably not as precise as our custom maps. Some people just want them that way. If you wanted a map installed but did not check the box, just send us an email at info@rottweilerperformance.com with your order number and which map you are requesting and we can send a coupon code for a free map directly to you. We keep records of all of our setup sheets.

Just a random question, Is there any storage whatsoever on the bike? I think the husqvarna 701 has a small storage compartment under the left front fairing. Just a curiosity. Will your mapping work over the EU Stock mapping? Whats the diffrence between EU and US?
@RottweilerPerformance Жыл бұрын
The EU versions of these bikes don't take well to O2 Optimizers so using a Power Commander in closed loop doesn't work well for bikes outside of the U.S. They can although be used as they are currently sold where you have the advantages of advanced ignition and fueling corrections in open loop. U.S. bikes alternatively can still be mapped from top to bottom and don't have any quarrels with O2 optimizers that the Power Commander needs to function in closed loop. They are included with all Power Commanders from Rottweiler Performance only either way so you either use them or you don't.

So losing the potentially very expensive to design factory resonance chamber gains some top end and reduces low to medium rpm torque? Good for supermoto or street and possibly bad for technical off road? The intake horn appears almost nonexistent? Does look like a thoroughly fleshed out retrofit.
@RottweilerPerformance Жыл бұрын
Not at all. This intake makes power everywhere with no loss. The intake velocity stack (horn) is actually quite long because of the intake boot and mirrors stock to some degree. This system is widely known to make big gains on this model from bottom to top.

@RottweilerPerformance2 жыл бұрын
That is a K&L part that is a product designed to accompany their lifts which you also see in the video. They are roughly $300+ so not for the faint of wallet but are great. They may need some blocking with taller bikes but we have about 5 of them so we just use two.

Typically almost nothing at all except for mapping in the ECU which wouldn't effect anything and mirror and license plate stuff. There really shouldn't be anything different enough that a reasonably intelligent person could not figure out on their own.

No, they will not work together. You have to choose either more fuel and a filter that will load up very quicky, or the Rottweiler Intake System that makes smooth broad power and a storage bag. Eventually we will offer some sort of fuel tank though in place of where we put our storage bag.

Need to and want to are really the subjects here. Need to? No, but that bike needs mapping badly simply stock. @RottweilerPerformance3 жыл бұрын
The intake you see in this video will be your largest HP increase of all the mods. The second largest will be the Power Commander V. On this model you'll need at least a fueling dongle to get it to run right, and that counts for even stock because these bike are horribly lean, but a Power Commander matched with our intake and an open muffler will gain about 12 horsepower to the tire on this bike. The intake and mapping making the most of that. We suggest you read over the reviews of the intake on the page linked below. This will show you all of the customer reviews and what people though after installing. www.rottweilerperformance.com/rottweiler-intake-system-ktm-690-enduro-smc/

At the very lease we would do a Fueling Dongle. But a Powercommander is highly recommended for this bike, even if it's stock. They tend to run a bit lean and jerky on the throttle and a Powercommander can really clean them up and add quite a bit of power. Is it mandatory? No, but you will be very happy with it. We would recommend a fueling dongle at least. Those bike are just lethargic and lean running on their own, and struggle with bad mapping from the get go. The fueling dongle is like a good pilot jet, and a Power Commander V is like the whole jet kit. It's up to you what you want, but at least start there and you will be very happy with the results.

We are in the U.S. so we are not sure, but we do know we have sent many to Italy and have never heard of any issues with being street legal. If you are concerned about things like this, we would say leave it stock. But most people who buy these bikes don't really follow rules anyway. As far as warranty goes, we don't hear of issues really. In the U.S., they cannot deny a warranty unless they can find a direct correlation to the part you added.
