@@DIRTCINEMA Well, that's certainly better than nothing...but. I don't want to be "that guy". I don't want to come across as an a-hole or male equivalent to Debbie Downer. We wear seatbelts for a reason. Same with a helmet while riding a motorcycle or safety orange in the woods during deer season. I will agree that the odds are you're not going to end up in the water. You should agree that "the odds" don't have a perfect record, which means no matter how unlikely it may be that you get tossed from the boat, it can happen. The closest person to you, that can help you, in an emergency is you. You may be unconscious when needing help but you can be your biggest source of aid in that moment if you give yourself the tools and equipment most likely to keep you alive in a worst case scenario. You'll float much better, be a lot easier to spot, get a grip on and pull into the rescue boat if you're wearing a life jacket. Remember this fact before your next boat ride, over 90% of the people who drown while boating were NOT wearing a life jacket. You seem like a cool guy and God knows the world needs all the cool guys we can get so please, do the things that are going to keep you alive. Especially the things that are so simple, cheap and obvious. All the best!
