It took me years of trial and error to figure out a technique that works really well for keeping your edges laid and your roots with minimal swelling. My hair is natural and I always struggled with the trade offs between working out or having my hair look good. There are three keys to the methods to the technique:
1. A high quality sweat wicking headband that ties
2. Tension, you need to have the hair pulled tight while your exercise so it doesn't give your hair a chance to curl with the added moisture
3. You have to make sure that your hair is COMPLETELY dry before you take your sweatband off or hair down from the style
