How long does the soap last? Is it a cleansing soap? Do you have to go by Fda regulations or if any others?

Ventilation don’t be over the bowl. I don’t know what it smells like. I mix mine under my stove hood in an ice water bath to bring the heat down. I pour it down the spoon to keep it from splashing.

Katie over at Royalty Soaps uses both castor and sweet almond oil. The same amount of each.

Love your videos🙂 but I have heard that it's not recommended to mix lye in a glass container
@authentichomestead
@authentichomestead 6 ай бұрын
You can use glass, it's just that over time, the lye will deteriorate the glass and possibly will break.

Hey!! So I followed this recipe to the exact, UNTIL I got to the EO, I did 15g but I used a mixture of orange, lavender, and lemon because those were what I had left and it totaled to 15g. Was that okay?

Great video, I just found your channel and subbed. I have one question. Can you tell me why you only cut a small piece of soap off the end before you cut your loaf into equal parts? I have seen that done a lot on Pinterest but I do not know why? Thank you for your response in advance.
@charmedhandmade
@charmedhandmade 3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for subbing! I cut a small piece off each side because my ends are typically unappealing but I am able to save them all and sell them/give them away as soap samples

@elleinn

Cold or room temperature water. The chemical reaction will cause the solution to heat up fast so you do not want to start off with hot water.

Hello my beautiful glorious Sister 💜 what does it mean when you say you let it, "cure"? Much love and very much success!
@charmedhandmade
@charmedhandmade 3 жыл бұрын
"Curing is the process of allowing saponification to complete and for the soap to fully dry and takes about a month." Basically I let my cut soap sit on the rack for 4-6 weeks before selling
