How to make an anti-backlash nut

Hi guys, taking advantage of the maintenance I do on my tools, I wanted to share this anti-backlash nut project with you.
This nut can withstand vibrations and stresses very well without causing errors during chip removal. The spring system, on the other hand, is fine if the force exerted by the spring is not exceeded, because once that limit is exceeded the worm will start to vibrate.

Ottima lavorazione.. Sul mio tornio ho installato una vite con chiocciola cuscinettata... Molto fluida e precisa

Effettivamente anche io avevo pensato di sostituire il gruppo con una ricircolo di sfere... Però per difficoltà di reperibilità di quella specifica misura in tempi brevi, ho preferito ricostruirmi il pezzo!

Si è un ottimo sistema, anche io avrei fatto uguale ma il secondo foro sul carrello (per facilitare lo spostamento della seconda chiocciola in fase di registrazione) lo avrei eseguito leggermente asolato. Comunque complimenti per l'ottima esecuzione. Un saluto da Roma 👋👍👍Poi se fattibile con l'aggiunta di due cuscinetti reggispinta sulla vite senza fine diventerebbe perfetto...

Hey mate, great job. just letting you know you're only meant to use the very tip of the spotting drill (120deg), the larger chamfer is for a 60 deg centre.

molto ben fatto complimenti, anche la prova con pezzo ed utensile troppo a sbalzo è magnifica. E' da tempo che devo fare una cosa del genere ma sono frenato dal fatto che anche la vite sul mio tornio è consumata, e va a finire che una cosa come la tua fatta nel mio tornio viene precisa in centro e dura ai margini. Devo decidermi alla fine a cambiare chiocciola e vite

Ciao, ti ringrazio... effettivamente nel tuo caso la sostituzione di entrambe le parti sarebbe la scelta più saggia! Magari potresti optare per una vite a ricircolo di sfere!

Mi è piaciuta molto la "lumaca" (termine nuovo per me), anche se personalmente preferisco il tipo di lumache che si possono cucinare e mangiare in salsa di burro e aglio. Hai detto che dovevi effettuare il tocco perché non disponibile. È un thread LH Acme? Il mio piccolo tornio non può tagliare filetti, quindi devo fare affidamento su maschi e filiere, ma un progetto che sto per intraprendere è un tornio più grande composto da un assortimento di parti che ho accumulato gratuitamente o molto poco. Vorrei realizzare una buona chiocciola anti-gioco per la slitta trasversale che ho. Passando ad un argomento diverso, ho notato che le ganasce della morsa sulla tua fresatrice sono uniche e sembrano avere vantaggi rispetto alle ganasce convenzionali. Sono venuti sulla morsa o li hai fatti tu? Grazie... Saluti, GeoD

Ciao, intanto ti ringrazio! La "lumaca" credo sia un errore di traduzione, perchè la chiocciola ha più significati in base al contesto... È un thread LH Acme? Esatto, il problema è che essendo un tornio Colchester Triumph i passi e misure non sono standard e dopo numerose ricerche ho preferito costruire il maschio per filettare. Ti faccio un in bocca al lupo per il tuo prossimo tornio e relative modifiche, magari puoi fare qualche video da postare... Gli utenti sono sempre contenti di nuove idee e modifiche! In merito alla morsa, l'ho acquistata cosi come si vede nel video, per praticità ho creato altre ganasce mobili in caso di necessità. Saluti New Tech

Ciao, ti ringrazio! L'inclinazione non ha un valore predefinito, l'importante è che permetta uno scorrimento agevole del cuneo, nel mio caso ho optato per un'inclinazione di 15 gradi.

Hi, I bought this lathe used, I had to rebuild several parts, including the brake unit... So I'm not surprised that the previous owner may have modified the worn nut... But it could also be that it was original and they have perfected it over time from the parent company!

13:14 Żadne jednorazowe ujęcie z mikromierzem nie pokazuje zysku precyzji maszyny. Taka dokładność da się uzyskać z dowolnym luzem na nakrętce. Więc zysku w dokładności nie ma. Jest jedynie (i aż) zysk w czasie dojścia do tej dokładności. Obtaczasz raz, cofasz, mierzysz, według skali na korbce wychodzisz na właściwy wymiar i masz - nie kombinujesz pięć razy, nie zgadujesz, jaki masz luz...

a 3.06 mn , perso , apres avoir usiné la premiere face du cylindre , je l'aurai mis dans l'étau de fraisage contre le mors fixe de l'étau et pas sur le mors mobile . le mors fixe , surface de référence assure la perpendicularité !! pas le mors mobile .
