Ingredients
Cake Batter:
3/4 cup egg whites
1/4 tsp cream of tartar
1/2 cup + 3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup cake flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup oil
2 eggs
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup guava concentrate
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Guava Glaze:
2 cup guava concentrate
2 tbsp cornstarch
Frosting:
Whipped cream
*About two cans of the guava concentrate (12oz per can) works

Hello there, so happy I found this video and thank you for it. I have to make this cake in 2 weeks time, I have looked for Guava nectar concentrate, but I can only find Guava Nectar in stores here, which is a light pink thick juice. How do use it in place of the concentrate? Should I thicken it by reducing it first and then add it to the cake? Or add it just as is?

Using guava nectar will still turn out with the same result. Also, taste it as you make it along the way. Sometimes nectar has less sugar than concentrates. Let me know how it turns out :)

Please let me know how it came out! I'm in Pennsylvania and only have guava nectar too lol planning on trying this recipe tomorrow by reducing the juice first!

@@bryantuft3822 I was able to find frozen guava fruit pulp and passionfruit pulp at Valli Produce in Illinois. I successfully recreated the paradise cake from king's Hawaiian bakery. Lime, guava and passionfruit cakes.
