Excellent. Tip - trail ride with a decent length of rope. Can drag the fallen bike, and use the rope to lever it up, or around a tree or to stop it falling the other way once lifted if the side stand is not going to help. Trail riding = carry some rope or long racket strap.

I had to deal with that today just outside my garage. The bike dropped on a slope and I could not even reach underneath it. Got very luck that a neighbor showed up to help. My old legs are not as strong as they used to be. 😔

Great showcase of how to actually lift a KTM 1290 SAR, there’s not many videos and I know lots of 1290 SAR owners who can’t and don’t know how to lift their bikes by themselves as demonstrated in the first portion of the video.

This is one of the reason I went for GS1250. The boxer engine prevents the bike from Lying flat. The lower COG serves a pivoting point and leverage .

I’m a KTM-Husqvarna-GasGas media partner. I only own a Superduke GT , a Superduke R and a Husqvarna 350FE. This bike was a demo from KTM for me for a couple of weeks. Didn’t adjust the settings what so ever m8 😁

Cool video :) I fail in water stream slow speed slide off and I was in the water no damage but picking the bike up was a pain . The floor in the stream was concrete and too slippery algae build up struggling to get grip on my feets . On the end i made it except my back hurts for few days :)

Since we still don’t have access to any of the current SAS/SAR models, I greatly appreciate your videos. Hopefully Ktm let’s you have the bike longer without any mileage penalties so you can do a 800km/500 mile off-road Moto camp journey. *also Ktm let’s you kit the bike out with the rest of the adv accessories needed for such a journey. Basically, the states needs as much 21’-22’ SAR content until spring of 22’.

I did a 12hour long ride this week about 600km straight with not much rest. Video is coming soon 😁. And for the SAS i will most likely ask for all the bags and gizmo’s to go on a journey video. I was at ktm hq yesterday talking about that….more soon 😊

@@brandonabbott7574 yeah the bikes are coming to the US next year no worries. Been asking the same question to KTM because more friends in the States are wondering haha. I did feel relaxed after 600km on the SAR haha could even do some more without any problems. Bike needs to go back to KTM for the Adventure event here in 2 weeks. After that it will come up for sale….really thinking about buying that 😅🙈

@@LifeofSmokey I’m 5’ 8” with a 29” leg inseam. I like the robust nature of the SAR so I’m leaning towards that one. However, the SAS has the electronic suspension which sounds cool but always going off road has me concerned. Plus I would have to get wire wheel for it considering all of the bdr trips we take. When you finally have a chance to test the SAS I would like your feedback on both bikes. If it’s necessary to go to the extremes of making the SAS like the R (but sacrificing the purpose built R suspension).

The KTM adventure event is Sept 25-26 , week after bikes will be made ready again and i will have the opportunity to take the S if all goes towards plan and nobody sets it on fire at the event 🙈. When i go full offroad i will take my Husky FE350 , but my travel style now is more 70% onroad and 30% offroad. But that can easily change the other way around with the SAR , that’s why i love it so much 😂

I had to do exactly this a few weeks ago. Unfortunately for me my bike is a Pan 1100 (300kg), I also have a bad back......and I'm closer to 60 than 50. Still managed it though. Yay.

This was not my own bike , it's borrowed from KTM and by putting the bike down the mirror got stuck behind my knee protection and broke 😂🙈

Mate, good stuff! Are the pannier racks KTM racks or are they aftermarket? I need some but not for putting panniers - I need them as insurance to lessen the chance of getting my leg pinned under the bike.

Those are KTM racks yep. But not really sure if they safe your leg or make it even worse 😂🙈

@@LifeofSmokey fair call! I like the racks because they shift the centre of gravity down when the bike is on its side - easier to lift on your own…

@@Ptpangel yep that will help you out a lot! But also it’s a big protection for the exhaust as well. And as i have the way to expensive Akrapovic so that helps when i crash the bike 😁

I’m in doubt. You have fantastic bike available for testing and you spend the time to capture such obvious content. Even the sense of humor here is not the best one. I’m disappointed this time:(

Just trying all different kinds of content. This is a video that reaches a wider audience because of the “how to” factor. Even if it doesn’t make much sense. I’m making about 10 videos with this motorcycle , after that i analyse all the data so i know what people like the most. With that data i will create the next videos. That’s how i got over a couple billion views on my main youtube channels. Your feedback does mean a lot to me as it is just as important as the data i see in the background. For now this video got the most views the fastest after all my other vids with this bike. But i can’t always make everyone happy and yeah i’m also not really satisfied with my humor in this one 😅. But thanks for your feedback Andrzej 👍🏻

Thank you Andrzej! It’s the first time i’m vlogging and filming myself so still learning every single day. There will be lots more comparison videos coming. I had a chat with the ktm manager yesterday about expanding to a bigger audience. Talking about 1 single KTM motorcycle can get me a good amount of views but it will only attract KTM minded people. When i , for example do an How To Motorcycle Adventure camping video , i will attract a way bigger audience. You get what i mean? I’m waiting to pick up my new Suzuki Jimny as well , going to do some adventures with that to on this channel. 😊 Pretty sure that’s going to sting for a lot of people who subscribed for ktm content as well haha. KZfaq is not easy sometimes 😁

Enkel mijn vrienden weten welke kanalen ik nog heb. Als je me ooit tegenkomt vraag je het maar. Laat ik het met plezier zien 😊. Je mag nooit kanalen mixen daarom stuur ik niemand van TikTok naar mijn main youtube kanalen. Daar kom ik zelf niet in beeld. Smokey is mijn oude bijnaam , ben ik nog maar kort mee bezig en terug van nul begonnen voor de fun. Misschien dat ik het ooit wel is zeg maar is te veel haat naar. Daarom verzwijg ik het liever. 😊

Als ik die 8000 volgers naar dit kanaal zou sturen gaan ze amper deze videos bekijken omdat het hun totaal niet boeit. Das gewoon enorm nadelig voor je kanaal omdat KZfaq je videos minder gaat aanbevelen omdat ze amper bekeken worden en snel worden weg geklikt. Op mijn instagram Smokey_smp staat een foto van mijn 4 Playbuttons waaronder 1 Gouden dus ik heb toch minstens 1miljoen subs ergens 😁. Bedankt voor je reply

Nope , crashed that one last Sunday. Still can't walk as my knee is sprained pretty badly. Went into a ditch and the bike came behind....thinking of it , i'm happy i didn't bring my 240kg Adventure R haha. Would have snapped me in half lol
