Wisdom is also a dump stat because you have to be pretty unwise to break the only rule in Alchemy.

Noblesse Oblige Tulok uses the Variant Human a lot for these builds and some of his viewers get annoyed with how frequently he does, so he was playing on that when he first said Alphonse was a Variant Human before revealing he was ACTUALLY gonna be a Warforged

It's technical and frankly inaccurate, not that I'm dissing the build or anything. One of my folks' closest friends is diabetic with a gluten allergy. She also happens to be a damn good baker despite not being able to taste any of it (without a shot if she's willing to cheat, anyway), but I guess maybe she's just been at it so long she has Expertise in that skill~

@@Saiavinn I'm sorry to inform you, but it is you who is inaccurate on this. Baking versus Culinary are two separate cooking beasts.. Just ask that friend or any person who has gone to culinary arts and they will tell you that baking is an exact science. You're not tasting the dough, the yeast, the flour, while you are mixing, kneading, letting it proof. It's all about measurements, science and reactions. You can be a master baker and never eat a slice because you are searching for how the bread reacts to heat and the outcome. When inventing a new dish on the saute station, you are tasting everything, to combine them in a symphony. That is why any chef who goes to a culinary school has to earn a bakers mastery separate versus everything else.

Be careful playing this: your campaign endgame relies on another party member blowing a Wish spell to bring you back after you Banish yourself.

Fabricate is such a beautiful spell for an alchemist. "Water: 35 liters, Carbon: 20 kg, Ammonia: 4 liters, Lime:1.5 kg, Phosphrus: 800 g, salt: 250g, saltpeter:100g, Sulfer: 80g, Fluorine: 7.5 g, iron: 5.6 g, Silicon: 3g, and 15 other elements in small quantities. [...] Humans are pretty cheaply made.” As long as your have the proficiency, you can make just about anything through your "alchemy." Heck, as far as D&D's concerned, with true polymorph you could make your own city population out of frickin rocks. Of course, in D&D you can also cast Wish to resurrect your dead mother.... Some canons just aren't compatible...

The look on my dm's face, when he figured out that my pc's build was this. At that time we were already level 8 so he didn't make me change. I had planned this character for months. So glad I'm not the only one. Great video. And this build is a solid choice. Even if my pc doesn't get nuggets

I mean, honestly, to me it matters less that you make a build based around an anime character and more just how ludicrously op said build would be. The only downside to this build for the dm is potential arguments over what sort of shaping shenanigans you can and cant pull off. It doesnt really seem like a game breaker otherwise.

For start, we need to go beyond 20 int and find shenanigans that let him have an absurd number of high level necromancy related spells. He really isnt that powerful outside of those two areas relatively speaking as he was an rp build. If he were an epic encounter he would be obnoxious in the extreme as the dm would have to play him as abusing the heck out of every situation for maximum cheese as thats how he plays. He gathers as much intel as he can, studies your skills and standard strategies, and counters them hard. As for class? He is way past lich. Im pretty sure he counts as beyond demilich as he is a super secret lich class that involves being a master of spellcasting. So no clue what you could do with that.

I have an idea. You could easily make Rin Okumura as a tiefling since they can look as much or little like a typical tiefling as you want, but they do need to have at least one visual tell that they’re a tiefling, like say... a demon tail.

here's an unusual build: the beheaded from dead cells, a fighter who's proficient in just about every weapon known to man, has a bunch of weird spells and traps, carries an estus flask and is also technically undead, technically a construct personally i say revenant for accuracy, but vhuman is probably going to be useful for something oh and the homunculus rune, whatever you do, you need to try and recreate the homunculus rune

You know, it's actually a pretty cool build. It's a lot of utility spells that don't deal a lot of damages and are only useful in very specific situations but the fact that you are resilient and versatile means that you can last long enough through any encounter to actually find the opportunity to use one of this spell in a life saving way. Badass transmuter warforged who knows how to cast fist is definitely on my list of interesting build to consider for futures games.

The recent UA's Way of Mercy for the Monk, I could see being somewhat good for Dr. Marcoh. Not entirely, but it's definitely a path of sorts to create a "Dr. Marcoh" type character.

Question, why not use uh, Theurgy mage for forge cleric? Allows for some extra AC and immunity to fire, can't remember if it also gives you the forge clerics ability to build items out of equivalent gold and all, but feels like it'd have worked well? I still think war magic fits really well, just curious! Thanks for another awesome build man!

@@tulokthebarbrarian2033 I mean use the Theurgy Wizard subclass, it takes some cleric spells, which might work in the build, but mainly it gets you some ac and resistances, as well as possibly giving you a very alchemy centric level from the cleric domain. I wasn't suggesting to use cleric sorry, I guess I wasn't clear.

Transmutation Wizard I'd say is more flavorful and fits better, despite it being one of the weaker subclasses for Wizards. But hey, that's what Creativity and weapons are for.

this is really spot on the only thing i would honestly change is to put a fire ball or fire bolt in the spell list somewere to do more dammage as far as spells go.that would mean giving up something that would be more useful outside of combat and i can not really think of anything to get rid of. all in all this is a great non combat build with some good combat options

I think I can make something extra cool out of this. Replacing some of the spells with others. I was thinking monk four elements, but as I look at that I realize it wouldn’t fit that well. Man I wish there was a FMA table top game. I’d love to play around with the alchemy system legit. And the varieties of play styles would work too! Guns, melee, and the abundance of different styles of alchemy! You don’t even need to have seen truth to be a powerful alchemist, Roy mustang with his modified ignition gloves is a great example.

Its been a year but who Cares. From what ive read from/about it the new Avater: Legends rule Set might be what your looking for. Afaik it has more Open actions (relying on Training, pushing your luck etc.) that can be described however you Like (i.e. bending the Earth to get somewhere high for Avatar and transmuting whatever is around you for FMA). Also: one Problem with Putting FMA in DnD is that you basically NEED spells for Most characters which means you can run Out of spellslots even though Alchemists are only ever Limited by their surroundings and creativity. Avatar: Legends (once again afaik) doesnt have This Problem

@@minokakio6758 Yep... I tihink it was mostly wishfull thinking. As he says, alphonse is a pretty punchy boi. It's a shame the alchemist class for the artficer is so objectively terrible xD (mechanically, not flavour wise).

FMA Scar should make an interesting episode. A former warrior monk with two alchemical arms. A monk/caster build would be fairly unique.

I'm using your Jeany build on our current complain. We are now in Borovia with those vampire things, and boring villages where everyone is scared to go outside, aaaaand me, a blue guy, who shoots lightning and scream : ABSOLUTE POWER, while flying around. We are traveling with an catgirl druid, who can turn itself into big dinosaur, and at the last sessions we had, our team was flying on a dinosaur's back and that's was something. Well, why am I typing this? Thats why, to tell you, your jeany build is HUGE. Thanks to all your work, you are absolute legend. And btw, if you reading this, can ask you for some broken builds?
