There's no need to remove the grill or bumper. Just remove the tyre, the two plastic covers behind each light, peel enough trim back and tuck behind brake caliper then you can access the fog light just fine using torx extension. If needed you can access top torx screw from above by the main light

FYI: Near the end of the video, just before re-installing the grill...the re-attachment of the 2 hose hanger clips to the bumper mounts was missed. It was shown during the dis-assembly...but not the re-assembly. Minor point. Helpful video. THX.

It's a lot easier to jack the car up, put it on jack stands, then pull the tire and wheel well cover, or at least pull the front part of the cover back. That exposes the marker or fog lights (depending on what you have), the horns, and the ambient air temp sensor, which apparently was supposed to be the subject of this video, then it wasn't.

Load of rubbish. Remove the wheel remove the plastic circle to access the two torques holding the bottom of the fog and you can access the top one from below the headlight. Pull out the foglight surround by pulling towards you and the light will come out the hole

The long way to do things. Take the wheel off. Remove the three push on clips from the wheel skirting. Pull back the wheel skirt and remove the the two torqes screws at the bottom and one at the top. Remove the two light harness and remove assembly. Reverse to replace. You do not need to remove grill or bumper. Took 10 mins. Perhaps show the proper way.

How do you replace marker lights on top of the fog lights....??? have to dismantle all the bumper?

Is ridiculous how much stuff you need to loosen up to get the dang thing off they really messed up on the r56 model so many problems external and internal

It actually does cover all of the steps for replacing the fog lamp assembly. Watch the entire thing - he only incorrectly states what's being replaced at the beginning of the video. These are good, complete instructions.

Taking off front grill and bumper so you can replace fog light?! Interesting way to take more money from the owners during "working hours".

No. Have you ever worked on a Mini before? There is no room inside them, so yes, you have to remove that bumper to access those lights. As you can see in the video, it literally took about 7 minutes do it.
