29:45 You accidentally oriented the laptop perfectly horizontal at this moment. Not sure if that was by accident or else if you have a jig aligned with your camera. I've watched this video a few times since I have a work laptop "on its last leg", and needs new fans... specifically the left fan near the GPU ( near the power cord jack). Great video !

I was planning on using Lenovo's provided maintenance manual to investigate some fan noise. Found your video and it was much easier to follow than the tech pub. Unfortunately, fan blades are cracked. Will return for reassembly soon!

Thx for this video! After doing a repaste, do you know which slot I should install my SSD nvme hard drive to? Slot 0 or 1? I ask because I`ve heard the slot closest to the cpu has a higher bandwidth and is faster than the other, but I don`t know if this is true..

I love my P52 (4K, 8850H, 2x2TB NVMe, Quadro 3200, 32GB RAM). It is heavy for a daily carry, but still powerful for most any task and has a great feel.

Been using my refurbished P73 (i7-9750H, 56GB RAM, Quadro P620, 3.5 TB M.2/SSD combined storage, Windows 10 Pro) for the past month. It's replaced my gaming desktop and I originally did not plan on owning this, but I got it for $470. This thing is amazing. The keyboard is top notch, it's super fast (2.6GHz base -- 4.5 GHz max boost), has great upgradability, the 17" screen is absolutely beautiful with great colors and pixel density for 1080p. 99 watt hour battery means all day power for browsing and data entry. Little hefty at 7.5 lbs, but I've had much heavier laptops. Fits nice in the lap. Excellent heat management, stays cool even during intensive tasks and the fans are very efficient -- super quiet. If the room you're using it in has any background noise, it'll cover up the sound of the fans. Temps stay around 60-70 C during max usage, idles at 45 - 50 C . Like many others say, the Quadro P620 isn't designed for gaming, but as long as you're not trying to play the newest titles on max settings, it'll do you really well. It's playing most of my games that I've wanted, even Robocop with some adjustments at 30 FPS @ 720p. Plays RDR2, GTA V, Halo Master Chief Collection, Team Fortress 2, Just Cause 3, Ready or Not, Gears of War Ultimate Edition, GRID Legends, Forza Horizon 5, Lego Star Wars, Mass Effect Legendary Edition all perfectly fine. Even Cyberpunk with settings adjustments is technically playable. This P73 is likely the best laptop I've ever bought. First time Thinkpad owner btw.

🫠Regarding your question, this machine is NOT for gaming it will perform excellent for 3d application like solid words, AutoCAD, Revit and much more, and for the price it is very well worth it. i do not have this on hand anymore but the client is very happy with performance for work. Disassembling this laptop is a nightmare. You have to disassemble everything to change the thermal paste...

Great vid. I followed it but now laptop doesn’t power on. Light from power cable port, but nothing from power button. When reseating power button cable I saw a light for a second on power button. Maybe a new power button cable?

Regarding your question, I recommend you to follow these steps: Re-open and re-insert all the cables again. Ensure all cables are properly plugged in. Press and hold the power button for 5-6 seconds to initiate the initial power. Wait for 10-15 seconds. Sometimes the power light won't turn on immediately due to the motherboard performing some post processing. let me know if anything.

I had also swapped wifi card. It powers on with stock Intel 9560NGW, but does not power on with Intel AX411NGW. Curious.
