How much grease do you put into the actuator? I'm sure you don't want to just pack it full

It is not that hard of a job, the only thing that I am not happy about is the Timken wheel bearings we used went bad 7 months later.

Hi All, in my 2008 everyting was so rusted that nothing was easy!. Im glad that I went to the mechanic.2 Sway Bars were so rusted that they had to be cut out with the grinder there was no other way to take them out. The total job of changing the front 2 Wheel Bearings, 2 actuators and 2 Tie Rod Ends, 2 Sway Bars, and 2 lower ball joints took literally 8 hours at the mechanic shop and cost 700$ plus a small tip and tax. There was no way I would be able to do it myself. In my car, everything was so rusted that the torch had to be used everywhere .

Question: the new actuator and its hose ends are different and have hose ends are plugged. I know you guys mentioned that's how it is supposed to be, but how is this work now, how does the car communicate with those actuators?

Is it necessary to replace the actuator whenever replacing the wheel bearing? Or can I just replace the wheel bearing? I have a groaning noise

Guys, ever have a groan/vibration from what I think is in the rear? I got 171k on mine and it didn't about 1 month ago for a few minutes then recently and it lasted until I got on my side road which of course I then couldn't reproduce. Almost felt like something binding.

@@HomeOwnerRepair Thanks man. I took the rear brakes all apart and ground down the caliper brackets and inner pad lower tab as they seemed tight and some slight dragging when I jacked it up. I don't think this was the issue as that might amount to a few hp loss. I'll take apart the front brakes this w/e and check the calipers since original and noting a pull to left on highway when braking. You guys seem local with the Bahstun accent and I should head to Steve's shop. I'm in S NH.

A neighbor wants my help with this on his driver side. How long do you guys think the job will take me assuming i dont run into problems? Even though in my experience i always run into problems lol

Couple of hours. I would recommend replacing them in pairs though. Usually if one goes bad the other one is not too far behind it to fail. Hope the video helps out!

Is the axle nut really so small (i.e. 14mm socket)? My rear axle nut is a 36mm! Am I missing something?

Just replaced both front hubs. There were no issues before but now I am getting a Service Advance Trac message along with the abs light coming on. Has this happened to anyone else? Wondering if it just needs a code reset.

Check the ABS sensors to see if they are seated and plugged in correctly. Also check for a damaged or pinched ABS wire. Hope this helps you out.
