He’s actually quite clever. Made a video on replacing the window regulator and lock cylinder at the same time. I’m going to look for the lock actuator video next.

Some things to add: It’s easier to take the window out…probably the easiest part of the whole job. Lower the window 7.5-8” and then the two bolts that hold it in place should line up nicely with the holes to remove (LX model). Tilt the window toward the front of the car and it should slide out pretty easily. With the window out, you can push down from the top on to that annoying clip that holds the key cylinder in place. This thing is by far the most annoying part of the entire project. You’ll also need to remove the bolts holding the handle on as shown in this video. That opens up a little more space for that clip to come off a bit easier. The metal rod connected to the door handle was a little annoying to remove as well. I had to spray some lithium grease on it and pry it with a good bit of force to pop it loose from that plastic clip that hold it in place. It looked like the plastic in the handle was going to break I had to use so much force but luckily it didn’t. With the handle completely out of the door, go ahead and replace that clip that came off the lock cylinder. I have no idea how anyone gets it back on if they don’t do it this way. Trying to reapplying while the handle was attached to the door was virtually impossible for me. When you start reassembling everything, the grease that is shown in this video is helpful on the lock cylinder as it helps the clip slide and lock in place when you go to press the cylinder in. Speaking of that, don’t do what I did. Check to make sure the cylinder is actually locked in place by inserting the key in to it and pressing in. I didn’t and had buttoned everything up only to realize the clip never snapped in place properly to hold the cylinder. I wound up having to take apart the door again because I didn’t check it well enough. I broke a couple of plastic clips that hold the door panel in place in the process of removing and putting everything back, so don’t be shocked if you do. It’s a 20 year old vehicle after all.

Really is the grease on outside of cylinder, so it slides into hole in handle necessary? If have any trouble with it can see me with grease everywhere then fighting a greasy slippery cylinder.
