In this video, we replace the xenon headlight blubs in this 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman! The process is pretty simple and straightforward, but the bulbs can be quite costly! I'll post a link to the ones I bought down below. Super easy job you can totally do yourself!

Hey, nice video! Wifes 2012 Mini needs replacing that bulb, but the original says D1, and no matter what I search for I can only seem to find D1S replacement bulbs. Some forum post said the D1S is bigger than the D1, so not really sure what to do. Cheers!

Thank you!! If I remember correctly I ran into the same issue. I’m 99% sure I put a D1S in it because that’s all I could find! Still working great today!

I actually haven’t had to replace mine yet! As soon as I do, I will make a video on it! I think you’d have to remove the skid plate under the car and go in from behind if I had to guess!

It should be similar! The way you access the bulb on the back of the housing might be different, but the replacement should be the same!

In the video, don't you talk about disconnecting the battery? is it necessary or not? I'm in doubt!

No need!! You can if you’d like, but you don’t have to. The important thing is making sure you don’t touch the bulbs with your bare hands. Other than that you’re good to go!!
