After performing regular maintenance on any vehicle, you'll want to reset the service reminder indicator in the driver display. Today I'm going to show you how to perform the reset two different ways.
The reset can be performed directly in the vehicle using the foot pedals or by using an iSCAN device.
Let's take a look at the procedures on this 2023 Range Rover, L460 chassis.
This also applies to L461 chassis.
Be sure your iSCAN device is not connected to the vehicle
Open the driver door
Turn the ignition ON
In this procedure the foot pedals are used to reset the service indicator.
Be sure to follow the instructions and press the pedals in the correct order.
If you accidentally press the accelerator pedal first, before the brake pedal, this will cause Brake Over Accelerator (BOA) logic and will default the accelerator pedal to 0%.
If this happens the service interval indicator reset procedure will have to be restarted.
Press the brake pedal fully and hold, then press the accelerator pedal and hold for 10 seconds.
A Service Reset message will appear in the driver display.
Release the accelerator and brake pedals and turn the ignition OFF.
Turn the ignition ON, the Service Reset message will be cleared.
Oftentimes this procedure will have to be repeated due to a misstep, so using your iSCAN device is a faster option.
