Well explained, pipes are usually the primary issue. Pipes have a lifespan too.

@@alfaromeonoproblem Thanks, I alpo clean the MAF - MAP sensors every now and then I use dry electric contact cleaner. It increase the longevity of those two delicate device.

Well what???. He doesnt explain how to remove the parts, which errors you will see on your engine checking, andost important, how to difference between pieces failures. Its supose he is an expert. He only says "if the part is not good you will see an error". Oooohh thanks!!! Didnt know that!!! Hahhahaha. The joke of the week

hi, its me again. :D The car overboost somteimes and stop working under load in a clime or hard acceleration. Pipes are good, egr is blocked. Maf sensor reads most of the time are ok. When i disconect maf, car runs fine.

I'd love to have you in Czech Republic, bro. I love my AR 159 TI 2.4 jtdm 210 hp. It's a reliable, really reliable, car, which I don't want to sell. I don't need any chips or remaps, I just want it to be as good as it used to. Nevertheless, time passes and in compare to the past it feels like my AR became more lazy. For example: it used to have top speed around 240 and before 220 it was still cheerful. Nowadays it feels like it lost it's potential and became more lazy after 200kmh and the top speed reduced on 220kmh. No matter how I try to reincarnate lost power all the efforts turns to failure in local services. They don't want to repair cars, they just want to change car parts. You lost power - you need new injectors! You lost power - you need new turbo! ...new DPF and even new dual mass flywheel. Awfull! Lots of brand services tell me, we've made a diagnosis - change this and that car part and if it doesn't help keep changing the rest of engine parts. They just lie me in my face. I wish it was possible to diagnose my car remotely from Italy.

Hi Bruno. I just discovered your channel which is AWESOME! I have a 159 1.9 16V with sluggish behavior from idle to ca. 2500-3000 rpms. After that is slowly kicks and at 3500 rpms runs as usual with quiet normal boost. I was also suspecting the turbo regulator valve and disconnected the hose from valve to the turbo and do the test ride. It was approx. same in lower rpms, but in higher rpms there was a noticable difference and with the hose disconnected the car was also missing power in high rpms. Can I rule this valve or the regulator shaft on the turbo out then? What else should I check? If I block the EGR inlet from exhaust with a sheet metal (e.g, from a can), and the problem will improve, could the problem be EGR instead? There are no errors in ECU.

Hello, i have a fiat bravo 198, 1.6 multijet 120hp. Last week, when i was coming home, everything was fine, them suddenly the car lost power, but managed to get home safely. The issue is that i still have major power lost, and don't have a clue what can be...checked the turbo and inter cooler system and nothing liking. Will check those tubes and maybe the systems. Check the biggest part on the video and i was ok and clean. Losing my mind...

​@@alfaromeonoproblem hey back...did whent to a garage, and they diagnosed the 1st part os the video that is close to the turbo. They replaced it because on the machine diagnostic ia was the only part that came back fail. Today i whent for a run, and at the beginning it was ok, but during the return home, and the car on mid temp, it loses power again. I stop the car turn of the key and power it on back, whent back on the road and it was normal again...more powerful, like new... Losing my mind lately... locks tike the engine goes to safe mode for some reason...also check the intercooler system, tubes and radiator, they are all fine.

Thanks for watching. Normal pipe will be very difficult to use, but will do. Because you have one size on one side, another on the other side. 3,5 mm or 4 mm depending on the wall of the tube

saludos desde la tierra del Quijote aquí en España. con respecto al final del video y los diagnósticos de algún/os mecánicos: antes usaba y aún conservo en el garaje un fiat bravo 1.9 jtd 105. El malvado era todo lo que necesitaba e aquel tiempo, corto y rápido y con buena frenada. de repente dejó de ser rápido solo a veces, no tenia alegría en las rpm. (sin fallos en el cuadro, si en la maquina de diagnosis) *presión baja de turbo, *sensor volumétrico caudalímetro y un sin fin de cosas. paraba motor arrancaba y hasta otra vez, podían pasar días o al momento. después de meses visitando un taller con regularidad por aquello y mas de 1500 euros en piezas, durante un viaje a Venecia 1900 Km desde mi residencia, en Milán (Italia) me dio otra vez el fallo, busqué un taller y no olvidaré jamás a aquel chico tras comentarle como pude lo que ocurría. me pidió abrir el capó mientras el se alejaba a un banco de trabajo y regresaba con unas "TIJERAS". cortó un trozo de la manta insonorizadora del capó y hasta hoy sin más problemas. El fíat bravo tiene la tubería de admisión sobre el radiador y la manta del capó con los años y las humedades estaba deteriorada y se acoplaba allí a veces, ahogando la admisión. 1500 euros en piezas de todos los tipos Vs unas TIJERAS.

Hola amigo, gracias por tu video. Tengo un 156 jtd de 2006 y me esta dando un problema de falta de potencia. Paso mucho miedo porque me cuesta salir en primera marcha mucho, suben las revoluciones pero el pedal no responde. No se que hacer. En diagnosis no sale nada. Que recomiendas que haga? Hello. The mass air flow and the intake air pressure. The two are very crucial to it, and on this case both have air temp sensors incorporated on them. Not all gasoline/petrol engine use map or maf. Att least one of them, sometimes both.

Hi Bruno, your channel is awsome! I have a 159 1.9 16v my maf reads 500 at idle goes up to around 1200. Is that normal? What figure should I be looking for at around 2500rpm? Also my boost is lagging a lot then over boosting slightly. Checked the vacuum hoses, vnt is free, solenoid is new. Dpf showing 160mbar at full load. What else is there too check?

Hi, I have a first gen 1.3 jtdm euro 4 90hp alfa mito. The car has really poor power below 2000rpm and right after it kicks in and pulls like mad. The vgt rod is pulled back as it should at idle, what should I check. The car does have good vaccum

Hello. It is a bit normal on those engines, but usually a good clean up on the intake sensor may do the trick!

Hello, I have a problem with an Alfa 147 1.9 JTDM 16V. I often have no power when accelerating. The EGR was suspected, I exchanged it, that made the problem much better, but currently I still have sporadic no power. If the problem does not occur, the turbo comes very late at 2500-4000 giri, and then very suddenly and you notice an enormous boost in performance. It is particularly noticeable in 1st and 2nd gear, if I stay on the gas and accelerate further, error P0237 appears in MultiECUScan. I checked the VTG, it can be moved manually... In idle, when I take off the gas, a whistle from the turbo can be heard and a noise as if boost pressure is escaping, but I have already checked all the hoses, they all look good. If I deactivate the EGR through a metal plate as a test, the noises are almost completely gone. Do you have an Idea?

hello , my airflow sensor is not working, i disconnected the jack , now the car runs much better , my quesion : does this damage the turbo or the engine ? can i drive without the mass airflow sensor ?

Hello, you can but your fuel consumption can be worse. Also by injecting more fuel, more of that fuel will wash the cilinders. Causing grip and oil dilution. Be careful.

As i understand you..when we have problem on low rpm(2000-3000)...we have problem with that small hose or Its vacum valve...right? I dont have black smoke and wistle noises so its not problem with big hoses as u had If my elm327 readings was good...around 2000rpms calculated boost was 4.1psi....maf was 33.7 g/sec When i start car acutator pole goes down and its not moveing up on lower rpms until 3000rpms...when i take of hose from vacum.valve it gose to most highest position

Problem fixed...i cleand intercooler and all silicon hoses but notning again....then i check my egr valve.. is close but metal sheet was burned and had hole in it so i replaced it and i got all power back

My 147 2.0 facelift only revs up to 4500 RPMs , changed everything sensor wise and now it says FRH speed sensor wiring error on scan , airflow meter faulty , not sure of the little pipes and it also revs up when I clutch in and there’s hesitation and jerking . I’m tired lol

Hello man. I have i question for you. Can you record video about turbo removal and cleaning this? I can remove the but, but i dont know how to remove it? From botton? I try it from botton but i cant rrmove the cover of turbo. Hoses from air condition and egr blocks this cover from remove... thx

Yes, take it from above. Take the pre cat, the oil lines and air ducts and the manifold with the turbo. Replace or repair the turbo and resurface the manifold. Replace the nuts and bolts as well as the gasket. Thigh it to 25nm from the center to the edges. Confirm it at the end. Like i did on the intake of the 75 video. Let the car run half an hour at idle with new oil and filter.

@@alfaromeonoproblem But i cant remove it the aluminium cover, which is on the turbo. Because this cover is blocked by hose of air conditiong and egr pipe :(( must i removed this hoses? or?

Right! Forgot that. It's way easier to remove, yes. However whit a bit of time and patience you can remove them without removing the ac lines. If you remove the ac lines, only by the compressor, cover the holes imidiatly. Not to be exposed to air.

The pressure sensor however you want. I dip them on degreaser. I do not dip the plug. The mass sensor with spray degreaser and let it dry

I have an alfa romeo 147 2007 it has lost power only half of the power it gives when I push the gas to the end on the highway somewhere at 160 kmh the engine light comes on and it loses all power then I stop and turn it back on to continue

Ciao Bruno, I checked all pipes and found out there’s no regulator at all: the in and out tubes are connected there (don’t know the right name, but it’s the one on the left in your video) I bought the car like this and ran very well then: probably has to do with the squadra chip tuning (?) Maybe some garages I visited have written this faulty with the obd2 reader? At first it showed the air mass meter, so bought a new original one: no result, changed the middle sensor on you video: no result, cleaned and checked the turbo: no result….. As several garages tried to fix this problem and your videos are very honest and convincing, I would very much like to make an appointment to your workshop: is that possible? Thanks in advance, Chris

Hello. Chip tune like those power boxes? They are better than many remaps I see here. In fact, power boxes whore the only thing at a certain point before remap. O have two cars with power boxes for more than 12 years and I will not do or need a remap. Not even close
