on that temperature i usually thin/reduce around 20 to 25 percent...

When we were in Florida the foam i was using is the Redtree 9 inch yellow foam roller,good for big surfaces,you can use smaller foam roller for smaller job,any foam roller that can handle urethane paint is good as long as it is thin nap...two coats is recommended,on this project of mine the whole surface is one coat but the repairs is two coats, and yes aside from the base paint ,you need the brushing converter and the brushing reducer.

@@tylerthomas3744 as for the brush i usually use the Corona Europa brushes,i love those brush,but it's very hard to get it here in Spain,...on this particular project i thinned my paint 20 percent,you can thinned it to 30 percent if the weather is a bit warm..and i usually wait at least 3 days before i sand again for the second coat.

Not really..it all depends of how good the roll and tip application, and how old is the original paint job.

Hi John..on this video i used the Omega "SPALTER " brush this type of brush is perfectly made for tipping, but one of my preferred brush to use is the Corona "EUROPA" brush...one of the best.

Two coats is always recommended for roll and tip.

@@leoncaputolan Do you tip after the first coat? Or do you save the tipping process for the 2nd coat?

Roll and then tip the first coat...leave to cure for at least 2 days or more the better,then sand it with 400 grit sandpaper ,then roll and tip again for the second and final coat.

You don't want to used too much reducer either...maybe it's too hot during the time you were painting or a bit windy?

@@leoncaputolan thank you for the response. Yes the wind was blowing about 15kts, so I will make sure the next time I paint it is still.

@@jefferydavis3194 That is too windy,try doing it in the morning when the temperature is nice and cool, if you are doing it outside without any protection from the wind you need to do it when there is hardly any wind even just for a couple of hours just to give time for the paint to flow.

yahh always keep a wet edge,this one i did the one side at once...but you can always plan your job,if you think it is too big and you have an area to do a cut that is not so obvious..do it.
