If you get child support or government aid, is that really a single income? Your tips and strategy is on target. My husband and I started doing the same exact thing this year and save about $600.00 a month. He works full time and I work part-time. So it's not one income.

One tip for weight loss that helped me. Get off unnecessary medication.track whatever you put into your body,what you feel at that time. Same with spending.track every single cent you get,why you spend,how much,where. For weight loss,keep a food journal.with finance,same idea.

K.A.T.E. METHOD!! You did a great job here, Kate!! My husband and I used a similar method to become minimalists and debt free! We started by paying off any credit card debt.. Next came cars, and THEN: our house mortgage!! We are debt free and retired at 55! 😊I was actually able to retire at 49!! Keep up the great work and the encouragement to others!

I have to say my favorite is letter E. This show inspired me to ELIMINATE some time wasted on phone calls with some who have less time constraints. So I ELIMINATED some of the stress by asking if we can keep our calls down to 15 minutes or less--at least until I finish some personal projects. So thank you!!

The Kate Method...yay! I think I Would have to say the letter E, (eliminate)would be the best for me. I love minimalism and I love to eliminate unneeded things! Very creative! 🐻 Hi Kate, I tried Every Dollar before I settled on YNAB. YNAB has “roll with the punches,” but K.A.T.E. has “eliminate!” Love it. Eliminate is key to cranking up the intensity to “grow the gap” between income and expenses. Ciao! 😊

I used every dollar and I must be doing something right! I got every dollar budget on the first try....so I think I will stick with pen and paper as it seems to be working, and you know if aint broke......continuing to watch your channel for more frugal tips and ideas. trying to get the emergency fund established......that is the most difficult part.

E = Eliminate was what really stuck with me. I am just beginning to minimize our home and I can feel a difference already. I am looking forward to more progress. I am also just starting to really look at our finances. I am excited to get started with a frugal, yet practical budget for my family that will allow us to really make progress towards our family goals.
