Can a 1986 f150 with fuel pumps in both tanks and a high pressure pump on the frame be converted over to a electric fuel pump.

hey man Hit me up i can put i recess into the top of your gas tank and im used to welding on gas tanks (LOL) i have a vibe plate to get all the crud out of them and seal them after all the welding is done .

How big does a return line need to be?

Depends on what system you are referring to. With the fuel return line it depends on the fuel pump flow rating and feed line size. Generally bigger is always better because you want to avoid any back pressure. -Up to 600 Horsepower: -06 AN(3/8 inch) -600 to 1000 Horsepower: -08 AN (3/4 inch) -1000 Horsepower and Up: -10 AN (5/8 inch)

Thanks for the repy. HP will be under 400 but we'll stick to a 3/8's line. We're about to replace the tank so I'm installing a return line in case we go to EFI in the future.

Naaaaah no intake pump for me. It’s so much easier to deinstall and install a new one when it’s mounted outside. Pumps can and will fail guaranteed.
