I like the "swing like you, not like me" thing. For me I've had to deal with that my feet don't naturally sit at 90 degrees to the aim line, they're maybe 20 degrees open on both sides. And my natural ulnar deviation position, club on the ground, is face open, in front of the back foot. I can't seem to achieve the rest of what you teach otherwise

Hi Morten, Each person needs to make the concept fit to their ability, and past experience. Impact is what counts and there are thousands of different ways to get there. I sometimes setup with the clubface open, or closed depending on what type of shot I want to hit. I just have to move the grip inside the hands.

Coach! I’m not sure if it’s on the website, but as you know from the countless videos you analyzed of me, I struggled with flipping hands through. I don’t know if it’s on website, but I have been doing one handed lead hand punch shots. My hands no longer flip through impact.

When taking the club back to the outside . Are you starting with your hands or hips?

I do not advocate taking it to the outside. Take it back on plane. Everything starts with the feet.

Kirk, thank you for this video. After watching several different approaches, emphasizing different swing biomechanics, I came to the same conclusion as you point out in this video. Namely, that I need to swing like me, not like somebody else. Just because a tour pro does something, does not mean that I have to. That said, there are still some key elements from different approaches that are vital and I wonder if you have a video that consolidates the few essentials. Also, would you describe your swing as “stack and tilt” or something else? Again, great video … to the point that I have subscribed to your channel.

Thanks for your comment and for subscribing. Every tour player looks different, except around and at impact. So that is the place to start working. My method has you start setup on your impact plane which from my experience makes it easier to get back there. Spend your time learning to make impact properly as I teach through my drills which start with very short swings.
