shelleiney m it was great! I had so much fun! It didn’t exactly turn out like I thought tho, it was pretty small but it was still the most amazing birthday I’ve have in a long time... my closest family came, a photographer took amazing picture for my family, I got my hair done, my best friend came. And my father also showed up, that’s a touchy subject but long story short even tho me and him share birthdays I don’t really get to see him since he left but we had a father daughter dance and I almost cried cuz I honestly thought he wasn’t gonna show up... (ok wow that last part was so sad I’m sorry!)

ula krawczak quinceaneras are more for hispanics but you can ofcc have a sweet 16 thats what most people do its the same as a quinceanera but usually for other races and they have sweet 16’s

It depends on what you want in your party. If you want something small and simple that you mostly do everything yourself, it can a few thousand dollars. But from my experience my average cost was from $8,000 to 20,000. Good luck💕

same!! Mine is in November and I just started planning. If u are having one this year I recommend u get your dress first because for me it was hard trying to find a dress and I couldn’t order one cuz it wouldnt come in time .

Yeah girl I definitely see what you mean. I say yes, you should start planning. Just be prepared with everything so things will be smoother once covid (might) clear up. Who knows, people might save your quince date or they may not until it’s official.. There’s lots of girls going through the same thing, so let’s see what they have to say. I’m curious too💓

Soo... been a month how’d did it go sis??

So my quince is in 2 months and I just started planning it about 3 months ago I would recommend first getting the dress since due to corona a lot of the stores are closed also so you can pick a theme to go with the dress then start getting the song you want to dance and the vals you want to dance I would recommend getting a trainer for your dances like I did and also set a date on which you want your quince if you don’t have that many friends ask your parents if they know any kids that would want to do it try putting your cousins in it too and brothers or sisters if you have any

if you start trying to save up now you could have a little party, even though it won’t be much, you could have a gathering and still have the dress, it’s whatever you want, there’s plenty of quinces that are under a tight budget, maybe save up and then a few months before tell your mom about what you’ve been doing, i’m sure she’ll see how hard you’ve worked and let you get one, also, maybe instead of renting an expensive venue have it at someone’s house, that’ll save a ton of money

It's not too early at all, and I hope she can eventually see your desire to have one and change her mind. It is a lot of work to plan one, but maybe you two can bond from it!

@@angelicaraymundo-pascual1739 Yess there can be girls and guys. And the number of people in your court is up to you. If you’re having both girls and guys, one can be paired up with another. You can even have a partner. But yeah how many you have is up to you! Advise: a small court is usually easier. With a bigger court, it’s probably more fun. For me, I had only 4 boys and socialized with one of them😭😂

You can definitely have a quince my dad side is white and my mom side is Hispanic and my white part of my family enjoyed the party and I live in the country where it's mostly white people but all my white friends enjoyed the party and agin so did my family also s when it cames to music I did half and half I did Spanish and English so everyone is included and at least they know some of the music to dance to.

And don't let something like not being Hispanic enough or not speaking Spanish get in the way bc sweetie I don't know Spanish either until I moved closer my mom side but even then I only food stuff Spanish cause my grandma wants to fatten me up more but when it came to the Speech I practiced it in Spanish and I had my mom help out a lot and correct me so just practice anything that you plan on saying in Spanish like a couple weeks in advance also since I had white family and Hispanic side I did the speech in both English and Spanish so everyone knew what I was saying

Haha I had the same issue! I’m half Hispanic and white and had both Spanish and English speaking guests. But omg noo, do not let that get in the way of your party! Remember it’s your party and you’re allowed to speak however makes you comfortable. Plus, you’ll get the chance to speak to everyone personally even if it’s just a simple “hello”! 💕

The only question you need to ask yourself is do you want to have a Quinceañera. Don’t worry about your White side of the family. They love you and they will have a wonderful time. Who said things had to all be in Spanish? They don’t. The event needs to be a reflection of you. Your half and half, right? So you can have Country and Cumbia, or rap and ragaeton, brisket and carne asada, lemonade and horchata. You know, mix it up. It’ll all work out. Don’t cheat yourself out of a Quinceañera because half your family is White. And don’t let any of your Hispanic friends make you feel like you aren’t Hispanic enough. They aren’t the ones to decide that. Your heart will tell you if it wants a Quinceañera or not. And that’s the only one you should listen to.

I think anyone could nail planning a party in a couple months, haha. Make sure to ask around for anything you might need and stay positive girly. Don't stress it💕 Having a sweet 16 could totally work if you need more time. Age is the only difference, but you could do everything a regular quinceañera would do and it would still be litt!
