How to Use a PS Vita as a 2nd controller on the PlayStation 4

Hi, this video shows you how to use a PS Vita as a 2nd controller to use on your PS4. It will not work as well as a 2nd DualShock 4 controller but it will be fine for occasional use especially if you lower the settings down to reduce the input lag.

Hey did you know you can plug a mouse and keyboard into your Xbox and play certain games with it? I really like using that, I use it with Minecraft, you should try it :)

I have a vita too. I’m soon getting a PS4 slim so I’m glad I finally found my vita that was collecting dust. Can I play my PS4 games on my vita when I go out given that I have an internet connection?

When you remote play it's like streaming , so you need a active internet connection to stream the ps4 content

@my mate Vince…Hey man i just bought a vita in light of the hacks that are recently out…Yet i wanna wait and see if Sony will honor they’re old gamers Nd do that emulator through the ps plus premium with all those ps1 n ps2 titles. For now, I primarily bought it for the purpose of using it as a primary controller for the PS3..Im having trouble with this, its only remote play set up Nd only allows me to use it on the xmb navigation. I tried to play mk9 from my old disc and it wont allow me to use it as a controller. I even plugged it in via usb to no avail…This makes no sense why it would work on the ps4 n not the ps3…we need a firmware update for a “PS3 Link.” To authenticate its usage on all ps3 games…or expand the remote play option to be used on all games. With capability to customize button mapping, this has potential to be pretty cool. Any suggestions?

So wait i know how to set up remote play but how are u a guest using it? Cause mine saus guests cannot use remoteplay sorry if this is a dum question i only just got a ps4 and am seeing wat i can do with my vita since my vita isnt seeing much action otherwise.

great, the dpad (controller) is already terrible for fighting games and FPS games (or games that use fps aiming eg gta) lets reduce that comfortable control feeling that it already lacks by using the full heavy portable console as a controller, i mean why? its like people who use tablets to control drones with, poor controls and why risk damaging the tablet? the tablet probably cost as much as the drone

the vita had such great potential ruined by greedy japanese people, proprietary memory cards and requires hacking to use SD cards and has no good control options but switch has hori fight sticks partnered with them. All those fighting games etc sfxtekken, dead or alive 5, psx games etc could of made the device shine and better then nintendo
