R452a is not a refrigerant we run into much in the United States, but from what I read it looks like it is a drop in replacement for r404a, so it should work fine? I guess you would just want to double check the oil the compressor is using to make sure it's compatible, and mark that the unit has r404a in it. Obviously staying with the OEM refrigerant is the best option, so if you can you should just do that. Where are you from?

I agree that nitrogen purging (although not absolutely required) does help. In this case I just used 71 percent nitrogen. We do use nitrogen occasionally, usually on full new installs and more sensitive equipment like heat pumps.

No decay test either did you even leak test with nitrogen at all

I am not familiar with a decay test. Could you elaborate? I use vacuum checking, and then use a digital leak detector after adding in some refrigerant.
