One thing you might try to help in the future is getting a MAPP gas torch. Heating up the race helps get it off easier because it expands the metal, releasing it from the shaft. It still might take some time. But maybe less time overall without having to fight it so much

You got it done, good job! Its a good idea to use emery cloth in the beginning (get all the junk out of the way). Then some good old heat on that thing.

That definitely took a lot of effort! You did great, according to the video!! As an electrician I'm quick to tell them to hire someone to come pull the equipment and I'll do the electrical.

Great work. Get a dremel for your tool kit to split that race. Life changing tool, she would have fit right in there. Also, you want to pull from the inner hub or grab behind the spokes at the center when removing the pully.

don't forget anti-seize on the shaft when installing bearings, makes the job go easier for the next poor bugger working on it...

Feel fortunate you did not break the pulley spokes with that puller . Use a ( T ) puller with a bearing separator . Good work ethic !

Interesting. I don't think I had ever heard of a T puller. So much for my "right tool for the job" comment! 😂 I guess if it worked though, I got away with it!

Those are what I call two handed days. That is when things meant to be effortlessly done with one hand suddenly require two, or more, LOL. :)
