Another lesson: some words like видео, меню, кофе, метро etc are unchangeable: Two videos - два видео; два кофе; два меню. But две станции метро - two metro stations. Метро is system and can be only one in a city.

4. I want/I have craving for/I feel like I want this. Мне хочется. Mnye khochetsa. Like I have a feeling, I have a desire, I have a craving. It's like when you want something, but not with your head but with your heart.when You want something not consciously but you have a feeling for it; you have a craving for it. Sometimes you know when you're sitting around and you're like : “I want some pizza”. It's not a a one that you have that you develop that mentally, how it's going to be great if I ate some pizza. It's more of a craving that you have. 5. This suits me. Мне идёт. Mnye idot. I can say: -This blazer fits me/This blazer looks good on me. Мне идёт этот пиджак. Mnye idot etat pidzhak. ★ Not necessarily when it comes to the size, but more so it looks good on me. You do it and then you add, whatever fits you or whatever is making you look better. 6. EMOTIONS -I am cold/I feel cold Lit: To me it’s cold. Мне холодно. Mnye kholadna. ★ Again this is when you are speaking in English. In English we say : “I am cold “ , but in Russian that would mean that I am called on the inside -I'm a cold person. But “Мне [Mnye]” means: “It is called to me”. My surroundings on my environment is making me cold. I 'm not cold as a person but i feel cold. Other examples: -I am warm. Мне тепло. Mnye teeplo. -I am hot. Мне жарко. Mnye zharka.

7. It’s pleasant to me. Мне приятно. Mnye priyatna. ★ It's pleasant to me or this is making me feel good. Приятно [ priyatna ]is when something -when somebody does something to you. Maybe gives you flowers and you can say: “It’s my pleasure or it's pleasant to me.” 8. I don’t feel good/I feel irritated/I don’t like this. Мне неприятно. Mnye nipriyatna. ★ Also on the contrary you can say, when somebody does something to you that you don't like or it makes you feel unpleasant or makes you feel irritated: Мне неприятно. Mnye nipriyatna. Means thatI don't feel good, or or this is not my pleasure. I would say the best context that i've heard this used it's, when somebody says something to you, and you don't want to say bad things back to Them. And you just say : I don't like; I don't like this. It doesn't feel good. 9. It hurts. Мне больно. Mne bol'na. ★ When somebody does something and it hurts. Maybe they pinch you and right now it hurts. 10. I feel offended/I take offense to that./I am hurt emotionally. Мне обидно. Mnye abidna. ★ When uh you say: “ I'm hurt”, but not when it comes to physical pain but when i'm hurt emotionally ; when somebody says something bad to you or calls you bad names; or says something that is not true, you say: Мне обидно. Mnye abidna. It's mostly a personal thing.

Hello friends! How are you? Привет Друзья! Как дела? Privyet druz'ya! Kak dela? My name is Fedor and today you will learn how to use МНЕ[Mnye] with other words, within phrases. I have a lot of great phrases prepared for you today and they're all going to be involving some sort of emotion or some sort of feeling, that we have. Well I think most of them; not just one of them but most of them, because in Russian МНЕ[Mnye] means to me. So when we say “МНЕ[Mnye] “, “something is to me”- we are most likely going to be explaining our emotion or our feeling. 1. So the first one is: [I would say you might already know this] I like. Мне нравится. Mnye nravitsa. -I like coffee. Мне нравится кофе. Mnye nravitsa kofee. 2. I need to do something. Мне надо. Mnye nada. -I need to go to the toilet. Мне надо сходить в туалет. Mnye nada skhadit' v tualet 3. Very similar one is: I need to. Мне нужно. Mnye nuzhna. ★ Is pretty much a replacement of надо.[nada].It is still going to be the same thing :” I need to”. However “Нужно [noojna]” is not only used with verbs, but also it can be used with the nouns. I can say and “Нужно” [Nuzhan] now will change depending on the gender : -Мне нужен/нужна/нужно/нужны Masc /Feminine/Neuter/Plural. Mnye nuzhen/nuzhna/nuzhno/nuzhny. -I need new shoes. Мне нужны новые ботинки. Mnye nuzhny novye batinki.

11. I am interested. Мне интересно. Mnye interesna. ★ When you are curious about something and you ask a question. -I am wondering where did you buy this? Мне интересно, где вы это купили? Mnye interesna , gdye vy eta kupili? 12. I had a dream about something.[while sleeping] Мне приснилось. Mne prisnilas'. 13. I think/It seems to me. [When you explain your opinion.] Мне кажется. Mnye kazhetsa. ★ When you explain your opinion, you'd say: “I think that that this is not right”. “I think or it seems to me that this is not right”. Or also when you are not sure what's going to happen. -“I think that this is not right/It seems to me that this is not right.” Мне кажется, что это неправильно. Mne kazhetsya, chto eta neepravil'na. ★ I think everything is going to be fine. You're expressing your opinion. you don't know exactly if it's going to be fine or not but this is something that you can talk about when it comes to simply your opinion- when you're not sure about something. -“I think that everything is going to be fine.” [When being unsure about something]. Мне кажется, всё будет нормально. Mne kazhetsya, fsyo budet narmal'na. 14. I don’t care./It doesn’t matter. Мне всё равно. Mnye fsyo ravno. ★ I don't care or I'm indifferent. It doesn't have to be this negative. Like: “Oh i don't care. It's more like : “Oh this this just doesn't matter to me you know, I don't care, we can go to the movies or to the museum”. I don't care it's up to yo . Because I have no opinion about this. I'm indifferent -it doesn't matter for me.
