I’ve been writing about Bermuda. However, I have not been there so it’s a learning process. And I’ve also been including fantasy elements in the most respectful way possible. I do hope to visit there so I can get more details the way I want to.

I am editing my historical novel about Julian of Norwich. I have used all of the approaches you suggested, plus sought out maps of the city from the 14 C, the time of the novel. There's a KZfaq video of a street in Norwich that hasn't changed in appearance since the middle ages, and I got a couple of cookbooks with medeival recipes, and cooked some of them. A very helpful video-- but then, yours always are!

That's so cool! I love visiting places like that. It's like going back in time. How did the medieval recipes turn out?

@@NourZikra They turned out okay, but the medeival palate was very different from the current one. The spicing tastes off. I have adapted a couple of recipes for my tastes.

Oh! Helpful! I plan on setting Heavenly Sins in a made up town in Georgia but I've never been there.

I've been to Georgia once, but that was 12 years ago, so I don't remember much. But it was pretty from what I recall.

When I did this Moana story a few years ago, I may have went overboard with detail because I knew the people who wrote the movie got to visit the locations 😅 (I end up describing everything because I was trying to be as accurate as possible) but I’ll keep this in mind for sure 😊
