I am a old hospital nurse and I love coming home from work in the evening and watching your videos. It is so opposite my life and I find them relaxing and refreshing. I'm glad you don't live too remotely...got to get out and enjoy a good coffee shop. Don't reveal too much of your lives, we now know enough. God bless.

You two are ADORABLE!! I stumbled on one of your videos because I too love the forest and anything that goes with it. We have a small cottage up north in Maine and we are actually going to be moving into it from a full size house in NH as a transition before we move back to England (my husband is British). For us, going to our cottage rejuvenates the soul!! The woods, the sound of running water, the wind the weather, could go on and on!! So glad I found your videos!

Love your story and the cottage.! You're so smart to create the life you love. I love New England and have lived here for years (winter in Fla). Much of my family originates from the Northeast Kingdom all around Eden, Vermont. It's still beautiful no matter where you go there.

I just did a NE road trip this past fall and went through Vermont. I loved it! I definitely could see myself living there. It was so beautiful and relaxing. You guys have the PERFECT setup.

I work remotely as well. I live about 4 hours away from the company I work for. I love it! I have a lot of zoom meetings during the week but for the most part I stay in yoga pants all day. 😁

And the more you tell of your story, the cuter you get!!! More questions - 1. What kind of planes do you fly? 2. Where did you go on your first date? 3. What are your home states? 4. Where did Wilbur come from? How old is he? 5. What do your families think of what you are doing? Suggestion: Take the time to get to know your neighboring villagers. Patronize the nearby diner, general store, gas station, etc. Ut will make you live it there even more!!

Timely upload! I work and live in Boston, and it 's been fully from home for the last 11 months. Just today, I got the green light to move anywhere within New England. I'm excited to move/have that option. I can buy a home, but I'm not sure exactly where I want to "settle" right now, y'know? Also feel a bit bad about leaving my 'rents behind. So, I think I may spend a couple of years jumping between the states in NE and seeing what areas I like and what works best (probs not VT or CT tho, little too far from where the fam is). I wish you guys all the best, and dude - thanks again for the Penny Board vids from the Kuala days!

Since you live in Vermont as your hot spot . I have a small family who are do farming part of their jobs. Their label is GOLD FARM' THEY RAISE GEESE, DUCK, CHICKENS. Some are put in the freezer to eat and others were sold to other families They also sell eggs.

We'll pass it along to Wilbur! It was constructed by locals in the area. Timber frame construction is common in this part of the country so there's quite a few people familiar with it. The man who built the house actually lived only a few homes down the road.

I think that's the perfect distance, I'm an hour+ away from grocery, bank, and gas stations. Living in the desert...Not my dream location, but hoping to change all that soon. Don't think I could handle the winters in Vermont but that is a beautiful part of the country.

How is WiFi? Our new vacation home in Vermont WiFi hook up has been rough. 1 provider and 2 appointments the tech did not come. Making my 3rd attempt in April since I do not live there full time. My husband also a PhD student needs WiFi for us to spend more time in Vermont. I know there are areas that have access but crazy how much of Vermont does not.

@@CottageandCompany yes. Sadly we are not in the Vtel area. We are in the Consolidated Communications area. You definitely are lucky. It is a challenge to get broadband to all communities. There are broadband innovation grants. Anyone considering Vermont for a move do your research if you need internet for work. Not every home in Vermont can get fiber optic at this time but that doesn’t mean it is not coming in the future. 🙏🏻😄.
