Robert Bly's Iron John is the most important book I ever read in my entire life. The book was both painful and informative. Painful because it made me realize what I missed out on because I had no father or father figure. I also found it informative because I realized that I was embracing a false masculinity that was destroying men. The book critiques feminism AND the ridgid conformity of conservativism during the 50's and 80's.

I really liked your interpretation. As a woman it is very difficult to let my man fight, take risks, but it is essential. He feeling victorious is essential for me feeling protected.

So true bro I've been studying this for years and it came naturally as I don't read books as can't read that well.. I wrote a song naturally called light within when my shackles cracked..keep doing what you're doing and shine your light amongst others where darkness is amongst too many.. massive love and respect ✌️✨💓
