There's a new ability for Hunters that was in spells datamined post on wowhead, not mentioned with details in the article with Blizzard's post. "Emergency Salve: Feign Death and Aspect of the Turtle removes poison and disease effects from you." This looks super useful, and it would've been extremely handy in Brackenhide Hollow or Halls of Infusion dungeons alone!

I think the Rolling Peroidic, means, if you reapply the dot before the first dot ends, it transfers the remainder for the first dot into the next one. Similar to how Ret's dots will work, and how many dots work in Retail right now. Which is good, any time people have dots, its always better to carry it over, rather than just waiting it.

The funniest thing about the notes is that DH hero trees got changes and they just didn’t put them in the notes, which isn’t even the first time they’ve done this. (Also rip shamans)

That apoc change is especially nice in light of sudden doom now popping wounds. I've definitely accidentally dropped to 3 right before apoc on beta.

That survival mastery is going to be.... interesting, on some bosses (thinking of the spider in Vault of Incarnates). There are so many bosses where the default pet location is half a mile from where the melee needs to be.

‘Wailing arrow’ becoming an option for Sentinel is weird. It should be Dark Ranger exclusive. The ‘Sentinel Owl’ talent from the hunter class tree has been removed - which makes sense as to remove that node as an option from Pack Leader and Dark Ranger as it undermines thematic.

I really hope they give warrior another sweep of changes, or rather, give prot warrior another sweep of changes. For single target we have quite a few choices we can make, but for AoE (M+ specifically, where you need all your cc) it feels like you have more or less no choice what so ever. The build is basically exactly the same as it is in Dragonflight, both in the class tree and the spec tree. In the class tree things have moved around, but you more or less only make 2 or 3 changes compared to Dragonflight (I am also very critical of moving the attack power from armor talent away from the pathing to Avatar since it's mandatory, which in effect locks us out of ever picking Thunderous Roar). In the spec tree the only real difference from Dragonflight is the 5% magic dr on the left side of the tree that will likely be different. We can't even take the talent that gives us 10% stam and armor + 2% haste (worth the equivalent of almost 5 nodes in the class tree!) because the talent selection is just so restrictive.

Outlaw currently having that 'always in cooldowns' issue. If adrenaline rush drops - which it will, and does more often when you can't hit a target - it just feels so terrible to play.

The reduced damage on the mastery for Surv DOES stack, it's just a beefy vers.

I don't get it about Lone Wolf .... I remember it was already making me feel bad for choosing it, because pets are so much better than 10% damage for so many reasons. And their reason for this change seems to be .... to make people feel less bad about having their pets out. "You already use a pet because it's the best thing to do, but I'm sure you feel bad about not seeing 10% bigger aimed shots, so we're gonna nerf the already inferior choice to make you feel that much better about already choosing what's optimal!" That's how I read that patch note. I don't see any reason to choose 5% damage over the immense utility that a pet brings in PvE and PvP.

SV Hunter from a feelycraft POV is much improved! As long as the tuning isn't D Tier.

Pretty disappointed in the Warrior changes to be honest. Biggest issue warrior currently has is having WAY too much damage in their class tree (significantly more than any othe class I believe?), and being unable to take much of their meagre utility. Cleave replacing WW makes sense since they removed all the talents that give WW a cooldown, but I'm concerned the increased cooldown on cleave is mostly just going to feel super frustrating when you don't get resets from overpower compared to live. (note: I don't have beta, so this is intuition/speculation)

What you were saying about Recklessness is exactly right, with the caveat that it doesn't even feel good to be in reck because the cd is just rage gain. Compared to all CDs in the game, it is probably one of the most bland, least impactful in terms of enjoyment. Sure, it might be strong numbers wise, but you don't feel it imo. I REALLY miss battle cry.

tested teh changes and outside of better survivability it's...well it's not much different. at least for bm. you get another button to press (if you didn't use explosive before) but the change to the bm tree is nowhere near as good as demo lock got.

Im sure its an unpopular opinion, but I would love to play Murder of Crows on not a BM hunter. I play SV and MM, but not BM. But I always loved the Murder of Crows talent. It sucks to see it give to BM only as a baked in talent.

I really wish they would just remove Barrage from hunters. As a hunter main that ability is so garbage and so troll. They should just bring back Volley the way it worked in classic where you just put it in a location like a flamestrike/blizzard/rain of fire/ etc and arrows just free fall in that general area. I'm glad to see stampede go ability was practically never picked by anyone that i know of. other then that some pretty good changes glad to see survival get some changes i alrdy loved the spec but its nice to hopefully see it being brought more now xD

Does anyone here even play shaman? I swear I rarely ever seen anyone on this class all xpac and when I played it, it seemed really strong and well-equipped with answers to pretty much everything any dungeon had to throw at me. Shrug.

Hope the spearhead change makes it viable or more viable than coordinated assault for patchwerk raid. i like coordinated assault for mythic+ but prefer spearhead for raiding.

hunters got better at surviving 1shot. not if they happen each 30 seconds on a long boss. Also 3rd boss from Nokud Gale Arrow damages through the turtle and can 1shot on high enough keys :)

Hunter defense wasn't bad, but it getting better is awesome.

I was hoping they finally get rid of Rapid Fire, as the ability looks absurd (we're using BOWS, CROSSBOWS and essentially MUSKETS, we have no business shooting at assault rifle speeds!), they should've just replaced it with a heavy DoT or something. But then again, whole MM is kinda absurd (come on, how the F would you ricochet arrows off enemies in the first place for Trick Shots? Or fire a volley, or a barrage? The only believable sources of AoE were either nerfed or given mainly to other specs (explosive shot, grenades/traps). I for one thing MM as a spec should have something that makes multi-shots a bit costlier but deal a fckton of damage (maybe with a proc that makes it free and leave a DoT for a dps spike) or plain have Salvo on a 8-10sec CD to spread Explosive Shot on every pull, and remove all the absurd gimmicks like Volley, Trick Shots, Barrage and other stupidities... Instead, we're getting even more Rapid Fire.... ffs, this is exactly like frost DK D'n'D dependency, blizzard is just clinging to their nonsense no matter what people say. Looks like I'm not playing MM on launch. It was always kinda bad early, what with zero defense, trying to kill more than 1 mob at a time felt terrible and probably left you dead anyway cause you can't even do anything AoE-wise until you group them up, but yeah.... I think I'm playing BM or heck, even survival instead.. MM famously doesn't play all that well until very late into an expansion when you finally get some secondary stats to good enough levels

So after watching the whole video, I have to say Blizz devs have zero idea about the hunter problems. We got some cool sounding changes, but also: - we still will have literally zero utility /so if hunter wont be top dps they still wont get any invite to any m+ group/ - we still wont have pet independent bloodlust (which is our only "utility" , but we are the only class in the game who actually lose things like damage or health and def cd by using it) - we still will be forced to use tenacity pets (max hp + def cd) , there will be more pet/pet cd rework Atleast they did something about the dogh1t defensive part.... So It will be fun (maybe) but still dogsh1t. Great changes!

As someone who is quite fatigued from trying to find a class/spec that I don't have to "babysit/micromanage" cooldown windows (typically represented by a bunch of separate abilities I'd have to add to my action bar) and DoTs: does this mean BM is no longer an option for me when TWW drops? I haven't touched the class in almost a full year so I am unfamiliar with the reality of the situation. I struggle IMMENSELY because I suffer from information overload and try to take as many passive talents as humanly possible (minus things like an interrupt because that's such an important thing, especially for solo play). I am also a 20-year mouse-clicker. Keybinding is not possible for a fossil like me. I may only be 35 but my brain literally cannot convert over and learn keybinding. If it was a mandatory, hard-enforceable status IRL, I'd have to literally unsubscribe for this disability of mine. You may think I'm exaggerating that I "can't" and mistaking it for "I won't" but, please trust me on this, my brain is not wired that way. I just want to be able to play something that isn't completely CRIPPLED by the fact I have to make sacrifices based off of how I am handicapped in regards to damage output. I don't like being carried through group content but there is so much social pressure to put up ridiculous "ideal" numbers in PvE content in WoW in a PuG environment that it feels like I'm being shoved away from this game I've been loyal to since Vanilla. With many specs/classes in the earlier years of the game, there was reasonable wiggle room and variance but as things like DPS meters and other metrics become more "standard" and normalized, it's simply reached a point of hostility and I need to know what I CAN play which are friendlier towards people in my sort of personal situation so that I'm not mercilessly berated and insta-kicked when I try to do group content.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see the hunter changes, but isn't the defensive kit of hunter too strong? Survival of the fittest 2x, exhil, turtle, feign death 30s (which is op AF), pet hp buff? Everyone rejoicing, but I don't think this is particularly healthy.

Problems with MM have not been addressed. You still need to summon pet, dismiss pet and cast lust right at the last second of dismiss. Trick shots still does fuck all to 2 targets. What the fuck Blizzard 😂 Survival changes look interesting though!
