I think any female character has automatically a higher likelyhood to get in, given how few there are in Hunter x Hunter, I would see Machi and Palm as guaranteed and the other two female phantom troupe members as very likely. Also I think Canary is a possible pick. Franklin also seems like a very likely pick to be a big body character next to Uvo.

If they were going to add knuckle in the game, I hope they add a moveset which involves him and meleoron cuz tbh knuckle doesn't really have that much good of a ability and I would say it is very boring but if they add a moveset with him going invisible with meleron then that would be awesome

I def think troupe members like phinks, shal, feitan, machi, nabunaga, and pakunoda (maybe shizuku), r making it to the roster. Feitan and shizuku mainly because of popularity, and the rest because of a need of more variety of charcter archetypes which is something crucial to a good/healthy FG, with this characters being respectively machi (whip character), pakunoda (zoner with gun), shal (puppet), and finally nobu ("anime swordman"/stance a johny from gg type of character)

Personally with the hxh anime not airing, going thru all arcs for a fighting game is silly. The most relevant arcs such as York New, chimera and election is where the bulk imo comes from

As much as I'd love this roster myself, one thing you have to keep in mind is that we barely know what this game will actually be like at the moment. Eighting mostly makes 2D fighters. Dragon Ball Fighterz is pretty much the quintessential 2D anime fighter and it launched with 21 characters but really actually 20 characters from the series because Android 21 was a character made specifically for the game. If the game is an arena fighter in a similar vain to One Peice Burning Blood or Naruto Storm then I can totally see this. Personally I'd much rather have a 2D Fighter with a smaller but roster with more variety in a similar vain to Persona 4 Arena or Melty Blood, both of which I think a HxH game could take internation from, but hey that's just me. Once again, I think this is a very good roster.

@@Mega34765 Assuming we'd get DLC, a roster of 40 would be reasonable. Though let's say we get 20 for the base game. I'd go with this: 1. Gon 2. Killua 3. Kurapica 4. Hisoka 5. Biscuit 6. Genthru 7. Kite 8. Morel 9. Knuckle 10. Netero 11. Illumi 12. Zeno 13. Feitan 14. Uvogin 15. Chrollo 16. Ikalgo 17. Pitou 18. Pouf 19. Yuupi 20. Meruem Personally i feel like this is too little. Some pretty essential phantom troupe members are missing. There's also barely any female reps. Machi and Palm would help that, though i just couldn't find space for them. Leorio and Ging are very important for the series but for just 20 characters, it'd be best to prioritise characters we've seen in action. You'd be skipping a huge part of the story with just 20 characters. I'd personally like a proper story mode for a Hunter x Hunter game. I guess it depends if you wanna prioritize an online fighting game like FighterZ, or you want one with a proper single-player experience.

I have an idea for kurapika ability system in the game: Since he become specialist when he activate emperor time and can use 100% of every nen category this can be a mode player can activate when kurapika has low health that make him deal more damage to the opponent while his health keep reduces slowly until he dies but the moment player activate it it heal kurapika health then start to reduce. Kurapika chains can be complicated to adapt into a game so i wonder how they will adapted.

No, it's a she. The translator admited she fucked up and Pitou has been labeled female in every single videogame and piece of media outside of the U.S....sorry, you got stuck with shit official transltations.
