My favorite reference of the game is that while online theres a Dio somewhere in the world constantly spamming The World to stutter each match even offline somehow.

This is a remaster not a remake. remaster is publishing the same game with better graphics and gamemods and stuff remaking is to make the game from zero

Call me a JOJO fan but Im sorry...no other anime fighting game comes close to how charming and well animated JOJO is. Maybe dragonball but definitely not nearly as charming to visually as colorful. JOJO is special man. I play ASBR quite a bit with my friend Matt, it's really the Smash Ult of the JOJO franchise. It has the perfect list of characters now. No one super important is missing say from some part 8 characters 🥲

I was number 1 in the world in the original international All Star Battle leaderboard... because I was the only one who kept playing it lol I remember setting matchmaking up, and then just go play on the PC until I got one. This could take HOURS The only reason I kept playing was because it was my dream in life to style on people using Johnny Joestar

It was dead on arrival when they announced it was being made by CC2, literal dogshit devs that can't even be bothered to apply rollback netcode to a fighting game of one of the most popular franchises in anime. FGC fans were craving for a new jojo FG since HTFT and they gave the development to a team which only did Storm games. Not only does that disgusting pig company make unplayable online experiences both due to rancid connection and rancid balance, but they're also INFAMOUS for being a company that only cares about shareholders and not players. Its like when they announce a new anime game and it being made by Spike Chunsoft, you know its gonna be a money laundering scheme.

Wasted potential is a perfect way to describe this fighting game. They could have improved on the offline and online aspects of the game but instead decided to spend the time making dlc characters for some temporary hype spike that didn't even bring players back.

Thats true. Altough i love jojo, i rarely play this game and when i do i just play some offline battles against the cpu.

The references to the source material don't stop at the special attacks and combat style, even the characters movements is based on the manga, every character walks differently than the other ,when down every character has a different gesture and pose, all based on the manga, every attack even a single punch is taken straight from the source material, there's videos on KZfaq showcasing that. This game and fighterz/tenkaichi3 Are my favorite anime fighting games

There's bad online and there's ASBR/CC2 bad online They fumbled the bag so hard with it. I played on pc and even if you wanted to play the bad online sometimes the game would just crash. It really sucks because anime fighting games are rare, 3D fighting games are rare now. ASBR could have been so much bigger if the online wasn't garbage and if single player had more meat to it

I have a prediction that they will continue to update it once they announce SBR and hopefully borrow the netcode from Tekken8

You know I was thinking about this myself. As a JoJo fan this game is the perfect love letter to the series. It greatly improved on where the original shone, added so many new characters that both/either A. Eyes of Heaven would add, and B. fans really wanted. Even the DLC they didn't just cook with; they served a Sanji-tier banquet with (and I'm not just saying that because I really wanted Keicho and Abbachio), and the final roster ended up being perfect, with maybe my only gripe being that Joshu from JJL should've been included too because it would've been funny. I'll be up front and say I think this game turned out to be the *perfect* JoJo game... ...but the lack of rollback netcode shot it so hard in the foot. I still love the game though. Loved it enough to buy it both on Steam and the Switch, one for playing the "definitive" version, and the other for owning a physical copy and portable labbing. Also got the sweet Jolyne statue and got it autographed by Kira Buckland as well!

Wym failed? It's the most successful Jojo game, it sold gangbusters. It still has tournaments and dedicated high level channels. 'Time Stoppers" for example.

The game is great and comes with some of the most unique characters ever when it comes to fighting games yet the online is insuferable. If they actually cared and gave it rollback netcode they could still invest on this game with at least 1 or 2 season passes.

Great game held back by bad online and bad single player that does not make up for said bad online. It also just can’t sell all that well because it could literally only appeal to a JoJo fan, and there aren’t so many of those, at least not in the west.
