Yo, failing an exam is tough and yeah it stings about the money but just take what u learned about the exam and apply it to the next attempt and you'll pass with no problems! Distractions, in my miniscule opinion, are the biggest failure factors, when it comes to taking cert exams. You just had too much on your plate at the time...Hell look at all you're responsible for yo! So I'm glad you're not beating yourself up about it. Just jump back in as fast as u can after u brush up a lil more and get that shit done! You're a f'n rock star! And oh yeah, please don't ever say you're not that smart no mo...yes you is!😅 Anyway, I hope u and your family are having the happiest of holiday's and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and all that! It can happen to anyone, your reason is legit. NSE4 was my first cert. I aced it in 17 min BUT my mentor is a 40+ year senior, NSE7+ for a big ISP and I took a full month to casually prepare. That big "fine" you paid will remind you next time ;-) I personally find the Leitner flashcard method for filling in the details makes all the difference (ask and I can share mine), oh yeah lab every freaking day on your FGT for at least 30 min. Good luck next round. And funny enough... I have my nse5 exams scheduled in Jan and with 12 hr work nights haven't touched my materials at all yet, so looking at this as a reminder to get at it, thanks for sharing.

LOL I failed my first Aruba cert like that. Coming from the Cisco world I thought "how hard could it be??" I was humbled real quick 😅😅

A similar story when I took CASP+. Scheduled it and wasn’t taking it seriously. On the day of the exam I found out I actually scheduled to take the exam the week before. $500 down the drain lol it happens

I know the feeling I fail my A+ core1 but imma do like the singer Aaliyah says in her song at first you don’t succeed dust it off and try again.yes I lost $220 dollars 😆 lol 😂 but lose more than that in the casinos.

You will get that NSE4 next time. I know Fortinet will sometimes have half off vouchers. I took advantage of some a few months back. Wish you the best on your exam.
