Good for you for sticking to policy. If these big egos start trying to swing their weight around, keep your manager in the loop and make sure they have your back! Also, for your Sec+ renewal, there's a huge list of certs that will give you full CE credit, check the list of non-comptia certs to see if you've done any of them in the last 3 years

Yeah the emphamis "it's a blocker..." gets me everytime. Definitely seems like you've cut your teeth after onboarding. That concept of rotating teams sounds pretty cool to grow and expand your toolset/skillset. Super proud of you because I remember in some of your old videos (like a year ago or so), you were voicing wanting to get into firewalls, and glad to see the persistence paid off and you're taking names and kicking butt. Appreciate you sharing and wishing you continued success.

Hey! fellow network engineer here!👋 do you have any peers or senior guys to call when you get in a pickle? That's the biggest thing in this field to have. Also, do you have an at home network built? i would say to get a dell r720 server, a switch, and a router with a vpn client. That way you can run a lot of layer 3 labs.

I know what it’s like being thrown in with the wolves, it can be overwhelming but you’re getting acclimated and handling business it sounds like. I commented on your last video when you first landed the job saying I was looking for a Fortinet position, well I landed it and like you I’m drinking from a fire hose.

Yes!!!! Congrats on Fortinet role. I ended up getting my NSE4 for Fortinet when I was working with it at my last role. I understanddd😂
