I'm pretty sure Siegfried in Soulcalibur and Siegfried in Granblue as well as pretty much every other Siegfried that has Slayed a dragon is a modern take on the Germanic legend of Siegfried in the "Niebelungensage". Thats why the similarities are not by accident because they were designed after the same Legend

@@Gleapgoogleplusisgone yeah that was my point. I was one of them but Mythology (Greek, Nordic, Egyptian, Japanese, Chinese, etc) always interested me. The Niebelungensage is not as famous as other Legends and i think in Germany, only older People know about it.

I mean, archetypal berserkers based on the norse warriors of the same name is usually light to no armor. And Siegfried is hardly the angry type so I'd say no to him bring a berserker

The Sigurd or Siegfried roles always seem like simple characters that have commital options and the personality is usually calm and collected. Not really the hero or berserker type but more a Champion or Leader type character in my opinion.

I've never played or watched any Granblue vs but seeing Beelzebub makes me want to buy the game just to play as him. Love the moveset, style, colors, everything. Every character is so very well put together that the game looks great.

If Tekken 8's story ends up not being difficult enough for a Boss Rage episode try Lucilius from Gran Blue Fantasy Versus Rising. To get to him you need to win six rounds with a super and not lose a round in the arcade run and if you lose to him once you have to start the arcade ladder over again. I had a hard time with him only on the Hard difficulty and I am no where near brave enough to try the Nightmare difficulty. So if you want a challenging fighting game boss I think Lucilius will be up for it.

I beat him on Nightmare with Gran... *I love roundstart SBA* also the only character you can lose against is Avatar Belial, and I mean you can completely lose to him and still be able to fight Lucilius

Dear comments, Siegfried vom Granblue&Soul Calibur are based on the same german legend, Guts from Berserk is a mix from that legend+the historial figure Götz von Berlichingen. Hence the similarities, same base. It's kind of like seeing King Arthur in several media and asking if that's some kind of knight archetype. Dude, he's been his own thing for over a thousand years now.

Bro I had this exact discussion with a friend. I did not end up liking mk1 at all but I can’t refund it. I got lucky that I was able to get the game but I wish I had that money back so i could have gotten the deluxe of this instead.

would say his Archetype fits the most with a Beserker or (using FF refrencing) a Dark Knight. given hes more about brute strength and how he uses HP as a resource to power up attacks (even having an install super that uses 50% of current HP to have the install for the rest of the round).

There's even a sword skin named Balmung and he is an actual dragon slayer. They may have based the look and general playstyle on Namco's Siegfried but they're a bit closer to the actual legend here, who wouldn't be in need of armor though, at least for most of his body... I like that this guy is so polite and eloquent, like I would imagine a knight should be.

The one who doesn't act like knight is actually from his neighboring kingdom lmao. His name is Gawain from Dalmore, and he is strong as fuck, literally one man army. But because he was so bad tempered he was banished until recently his kingdom accept him back.

I just wish: A) I could try all the characters in trial. B) It wasn't so expensive for something that I haven't found "my character" yet. Some of these characters really look cool, but until you have them in your hands you have a limited ideal as to how they actually play. Wish I had the money to make such a purchase to test, but I don't. It's really unfortunate. Just hope the game sticks around until I manage to find the character that I like to play.

Just know that if you want to consistently get people closer to your level you are gonna want to hang out in ranked. If you can take the ego hit of not having a high rank the game will keep giving you people around where you are and matches should be closer. Player and lobby matches may be low stakes but they also have basically no matchmaking other then connection so you can sometimes get killers when you just got here

I’ve did the ass beating and been perfected. I haven’t played ranked yet on here just been casuals and the lobby. I’m learning the game and having fun But this game so far I’ve gott the most messages after and friend requests. It’s beautiful lmao

Well it is an anime game. There are very few exceptions but also jp dub is default and there is no real reason to change it personally. He ofc plays DBFZ in english because I'm sure most of his group grew up with english Goku

@@hgyuuuuhj098 definitely not always but most certainly when the IP has had the same character voices for years and only recently ever gotten an alternative dub. A lot of the voices match the character they are portraying and are refined to do such over the entire franchise's history.

Just here hoping he actually goes for the hidden battle in Arcade mode next time he plays. Unless next time happens after Faa is released, then that won't be as hype I guess. Also would be cool to see him trying to go for ranked matches as well, but with so many fighting games around he won't be going to play GBVSR for too long anyways so who knows.

Yes, it always irks me as well in those videos but I know there is a shit ton of new players and she is one of the hardest characters to use. I myself played alot of narmayas online and I can count only a few that were really good. Hell even I when started playing her had a magnitude of losses on my belt which was kind of frustrating.
