Absolutely love that you're taking us on this journey of you and Zoe buying and renovating an office space! It's so good to see how you are going about everything. I have an office too which myself and my business partner renovated a couple of years ago. It's such an exciting thing to do. We think spotlight track lighting would look good in that space. In terms of an office chair which looks nice, good for your back and won't break the bank the IKEA HATTEFJÄLL Office chair is a good choice. Also don't forget an office sound system too! Get some Bose Designmax DM3SE's in white mounted on the walls for when you want some background music 😊 Hope that helps!

For desks... I went to IKEA and got a massive table top and legs and made my own desk. It was way more affordable because I really just needed a big space to work on! You can customize, paint it, get the legs you want and just screw them to the bottom of the table. Highly recommend if you just need massive tables for a more start-up vibe for desks!! Xx

I’m gonna miss that old office! It was so beautiful and I know it was hard work renovating it, and didn’t know it was a rental (I thought maybe it was rented and you bought it after renovating) That said, i’m excited that you are starting this new chapter with a new office that’s officially yours!

We put brick slips in our kitchen. Our friends thought I was mad but they all love them now and so many places use them now. Yours look amazing!!!

I'm really interested to see how the renovations go and how you style it! To be honest, it looks dark and the slanted ceiling makes it look really small. It doesn't look as open as your previous space. I definitely get the New York loft vibes you were talking about! I can't wait to see the finished place!

I love the idea of going with that industrial theme for the office. As for chairs, I can fully recommend my office chair I have at home. It's the ID Soft from Vitra and I know that it's not the most extraordinary looking chair, because honestly it looks like a normal office chair but, after spending hours in this chair due to the current situation, it's amazing that I haven't had any back issues yet. In general I feel like a more clean interior would look really good with your building.

As far as art, check out Print Club London! They have the best selection of original artwork from local UK artists! They are all so lovely there and have such a unique and wide selection of work that you can’t go wrong with them!

My office desk is extra long! I bought a white ikea countertop and their bamboo legs and screwed them on. Looks so clean and is way bigger than a regular desk!

Alfie, there are these glass windows that you can buy that shifts from see through and frosted glass with the push of a button! My office was looking into installing it in the meeting rooms and I feel like it would be really cool for the top half of your meeting rooms! It’s great for when you are having a confidential meeting and want to have more privacy

i got the biggest desk ikea had to offer cuz i was doing art gcse and i needed space to paint and stuff but it was super ugly, so i covered it in kitchen worktop vinyl marble effect and it looks unreal now,,,,maybe it would be fun to have each desk a different patterned or colour vinyl that people can pick. also mine winds up and down as well so u can get a posture chair and it will be adjustable xx i also jus did up my room to make it like a modern hollywood style room so i have tonnes of other suggestions that are a decent price, i did my entire room for around 10 grand and it is so magical now.

Alfie... you should consider up / down motorized desks to give them an option to stand. I have a studio and this is a thing for some of the staff, and becoming more popular. To make them aesthetically pleasing is a tough thing to do, but worth it. IKEA do some really nice white ones, as a starting point, but there are much better ones out there... they are just more expensive :)

Idea for the sliding doors: Instead of a barn style sliding door, you might want to consider a pocket door as it would shut out a lot more sound than a barn door would, and with this being an office space, there's going to be ambient sound.
