Had a girlfriend say that to me when I broke up. After she said that I called her mother and told he what she said. I told her that she has bigger mental problems than a break up. Afterwards I told my Ex I can call the hospital now or you can leave. She left.

My ex had to go through that with his friend who raped me. He had no idea how to deal with it and it was hard to see him be put through that for his former best friend taking advantage of what a kind person he was (also we broke up mutually for college and we still keep in touch to this day) people who use suicide as a crutch disgust me especially because I have survived a suicide attempt. I know the stuff that can drive someone to end their life and saying you'll do it just because your best friend wants to protect his girlfriend is disturbing.

YES. As someone who gets suicidal ideation, and did quite heavily before my relationship ended, I never used that as a bargaining chip. I know a couple where the gf does that regularly and it’s so disturbing, because I take that shit seriously. The best thing is call in the support systems, possibly parents and police. A person using this to manipulate you could do anything by holding that over your head. Do not chose to continually deal with that! It’s not your responsibility.

honestly?, i think she thought in a sick & twisted way that, she could force him to mend his relationship with his mom so she could maintain her "perfect" family illusion, thereby strengthening their relationship, and by mending their relationship, that he would feel indebted to her and put her on a pedestal or some sick shit

This reminds me of 11 years ago when my uncle and aunt got married. I remember my nan saying back then to my now aunt that if my uncles father (my grandfather) ever showed his face at the wedding that my uncle would walk out and never talk to her again. Out of respect for my uncle I won't share why his relationship with his father was so bad but my nan pretty much divorced him on the spot once she knew what was going on between the two. Makes me grateful that I grew up with no father (my sister and I are IVF kids from our single mum) rather than the father my uncle had to grow up with. My uncle now has a kid of his own with my aunt and is a great dad who I someday aspire to be like too.

Well I'm glad that your mother even though single could take of you without no need for a man, your probably one of the few kids that will grow up into a mature adult that got raised in a single parent home, and didn't go the entitled/ violent route, like some other kids did.

16:38 what I gathered was that even the people reading this post told OP she needed a mom and should forgive her. Why can't people mind their own business. No one would ask a child to forgive their parent for being a criminal and it is possible to be a horrible person without being a criminal so why is it so hard to believe someone could consider their parent a horrible person.

When I tell people that my father was abusive, everyone tries to tell me I am overreacting and all parents hit their kids. I don't like getting into stories about broken bones or stitches because I am not trying to brag about how bad my childhood was, but the fact that some people won't just accept that I hate my father without me having to go into detail is ridiculous.

As someone who's been in a similar situation I can definitely understand the feelings towards the mother and her family, mines towards my father. When he died all I felt was anger, frustration, fear, stress and every negative emotion I held in over the years. I'd abandon anyone trying to force me to have anything to do with anyone on that side of the family. Op and her brothers and father had a hard life and I hope they never have to see her again.

Cheaper and less emotionally draining than going through with the wedding and then going through a divorce. The ex doesn't respect Sam's boundaries for this (which is a big thing), so she won't respect any other boundaries he sets.

(before saying anything I am NOT victim blaming a killer with depression is still a killer) I think the ex sil might have LOTS of issues, and I have a theory her mother was HORRIBLE and her acting all "Well yknow blood is thicker than water" is a coping mechanism to that, I feel like shes been very guilt tripped by her mother and now is having lots of issues with that

Ok so ima say this and IDC what happens. Blood doesnt make family. Idgaf if its my mother father brother etc. If you are a toxic pos or just down right a monster im gonna cut you off from my life and move on. And this should apply to everyone. I love how i see how people want to ban and demonize things that are literally hurting no one and just blow it out of proportion, an example is your child or friend come out as gay and they're still the same person you've known and have a great character but a lot of people would demonize them for being something they can't control. Because if being gay is a choice then so is being straight. Yet when it comes to family who is beyond toxic will throw you underneath a bus murder you and much more ppl still go "bro just forgive her "insert excuse" shes your mom shes family you have to let it go. No fuck that that is beyond retarded and utterly foolish. IDC if she raised me an did all she could. News flash i did not ask to be born. It was my mothers choice she had a responsibility. She had the option to raise me or give me up. If she chose to raise me ok cool its her fucking job to take care of me and i dont owe her shit. Yes i will be grateful and if shes not toxic awesome we will have an amazing relationship. But if shes toxic and while raising me she would make my life miserable and hellish then im cutting her off. Hard reality is no child should ever be expected to owe their parents back for raising them. No child should ever be guilt tripped about it either. Example "oh your mom is just upset youll forget all about her telling you how much of a fuck up you are later she does everything to take care of you busting her ass so you have food on the table" that kind of shit needs to stop. I will say that if the parents are amazing and the child is literally being the ass in this situation and they go out their way for their kid then yes you can tell them quit being ungrateful. Its all about circumstances and situations. But honestly cut off the toxic ass people in your life move on and be happy you have one life and no one actually knows if heaven hell or an after life actually exists or even reincarnation. Just live your life how you want without hurting others and be happy. Do you cherish the people who are amazing in your life and bring it joy. Dont settle for those who try to backstab hurt or drag you down regardless if they're blood or not. Because when you marry someone they're your family and theyre not blood related to you(hopefully they aren't looking at you alabama) so to everyone and even this family i wish you all the best and honestly ignore the dumb ignorant people.
