Wolf "Wolf" Schröder, former colour commentator in StarCraft2 and now of the LCK in League of Legends, is the star of the 341st Episode of 'Reflections'. This episode is part three of three about Wolf's career.
Wolf is one of the only expert level broadcast talents to work at the highest level in many different esports games and not simply as a novelty but committing to each entirely. Wolf made his name as an English language colour commentator on the GSL, working Code A in contrast to Artosis and Tasteless's Code S work, and most notably ProLeague, the team league which has always been one of the most prestigious Korean brands.
Some work in World of Tanks aside, Wolf's major transition was taking up Heroes of the Storm and covering that circuit for a number of years in its heydey. Overwatch was next, as he started with OGN's APEX tournament and eventually moved over to the Overwatch League itself, where he again established himself as a well liked expert, this time in an FPS-cum-MOBA.
In 2021 Wolf reunited with Brendan Valdes, his casting parter in SC2, by embracing League of Legends and taking a position on the LCK broadcast. He has since rapidly improved his scene and game knowledge to become a top expert in his own right in yet another genre of esports title.
In part three, Wolf discusses the influence of MonteCristo on him, how he has treated becoming an expert in League, DAMWON's 2021 run, T1's 2022-2023 roster, Korean fan reactions, working with famous names on the LCK, his future commentating League and who is greater out of Faker and Flash.
This interview was recorded on the 3rd of January, 2024.

There's nothing I appreciate more in a caster than a genuine love of the game, it always shows.

Thorin, you really are the goat of these interviews and glad you chose Wolf for this one as I'm a big fan of him and his approach to casting. Thanks for all the effort that go on behind the scenes to produce them, always a super insightful and interesting watch.

I've always wondered about the T1 korean fans... Obviously this doesn't apply to all of them but when I go to the T1 videos, they constantly shit on the T1 org and how the media team disrespects X player because the video was late or it wasn't good enough. Am I missing something?

Flash, Brood War takes infinitely more skill, titles doesn’t reflect pure individual skill and the individual performance you put out game day after game day, I would argue knight is above Faker if we talk individual skill find me a midlaner who can consistently win 1v2’s like him, let’t take Football for example if we just counted CL’s then Messi shouldn’t be the GOAT since he only has three Champions League titles, but that’s obviously not the case, and anyone who has watched Messi knows he is the greatest to ever do it, that’s how I feel about Flash.

I understand your argument. As a Korean, the greatness is not only about your skill, accolades, and etc on your game but also the impact that you have on others, especially the fans. Flash, you could make an argument, but not anymore. He was involved in the COIN scandal that could have jeopardized many fans financially. He was the best Starcraft player. However, not great anymore.
