I only been to a host club once (at a con) and I asked about that. The host we were talking to said that a good host wouldn’t do that and that it’s more about just having good conversations with the customers and making them feel comfortable. According to him most guests just want some company. Then again it was Germany and people over here aren’t that into empty flattery, it’s seen as fake and disingenuous. Also it was a charity event so they didn’t get any money from the customers (though they had an internal competition with the corresponding maid café on who could raise more money)

Taizo is apparently under Fuyutsuki DenZo, the host club that Connor and his team went to. Apparently, he's top 13 under the Fuyutsuki group holdings which is actually impressive in itself. Though I don't think he's really the top dog since ranks can easily change. Also, I think the VP still actively works but as a Daihyo, meaning that he already graduated but you can still take him as shimei, but with the condition that you'll be spending A LOT.

@@hakkonn8273 i think so too. if it wasn't for language barrier, Connor could have rock it. like when the girl were asking what kind of youtuber he is, beside making funny videos, Connor could have told her he does voice acting. he can impressed her with his voice acting by doing voice impressions. but since the girl can't speak/understand english, Connor can't showcase his charm-ness. i felt a bit bad for Connor cuz that fat host kept making Connor look uncool.

LOL. He's such a British guy. I lived in London for a year, and that is one thing about British guys--most of them DO NOT flirt. Yeah, new hosts are treated very poorly. It's the way of the host club. Any host that made their way to the top has gone through this treatment.

Yo I liked the number one, he was funny and refreshing, it was obvious he was just messing with Connor. He stands out amungst the other guys because he doesn't seem fake when interacting with customers. Maybe some customers don't want to be given fake flattery every 5 seconds

I love that Ruru is in such an glamourous setting selling such a premium service whilst wearing what i'm fairly certain is a company uniform jumper for European parcel delivery company DHL, its definitely 100% certain their logo. i guess he just liked how it looked not realising its origin is so mundane and unglamorous, or maybe he is a parcel logistics enthusiast - i'm not judging, but knowing the logo so well it sticks out to me.
