The British & Japanese can be quite alike in terms of etiquette expectations and demands, sometimes. The difference is obvious in terms of humour vs. drama, with the British favouring making light or faking out of romantic scenarios, and the Japanese playing it as straight serious drama.

Torn between capitalizing on it and shaming people for it. Walking around there is super jarring with like blunt sexual service ads and porn and sex toys being alongside textbooks, lego, and manga. they're slowly warming up to stuff, give it like another hundred years.

Like, I'm a grown man, I still enjoy reading MHA and exploring the themes behind it, speculating where the story might go etc. But in spite of all that, what I read and see the most is probably like 12 year old girls feverishly obsessed with Bakugo fucking the redhaired guy, preferrably while curbstomping Deku. Shit's fucking weird. I don't involve myself in those conversations, but man does it give you secondhand embarrassment and it makes it hard to say I enjoy(ed) MHA.

I feel like the staff actually appreciated that Connor was doing his best (awkwardly but still) and not making it like "look how weird" kinda thing. I mean that was probably also the reason he was able to come back to film the second time cause he was being respectful towards everyone and the experience. Just having fun and wanting to learn. As an acting student, these guys are actually really impressive. They manage to pull out these "improvised" scenes with such comfort and ease. I put improvised in quotes because chances are they have a series of scenarios and "tools" in their back pocket they can use to create any scene. Especially since I'm sure they get requests for similar scenes quite often.

i've actually not been able to feel any kind of cringe for years now, I watch cringe compilations on youtube and I just laugh because they're funny, but all this time i've been yearning for that sweet feeling, you know, when everything is so awkward your toes just curl up and your hair rises on your arms. Oh I'm the opposite, when i was teenager I'm immune to cringe and pretty "shameless" at doing everything. but after the Pandemic, I've changed 180. Connor's Japanese lessons are really paying off!! It's so cute and refreshing to see him communicating with the guys at the cafe, unlike the first time he visited when he needed everything translated. Love seeing him go over the top with the roles he's given in this vid😂 You would be a great addition to the cafe team, Connor- like a Tamaki from OHSHC type character. I can totally imagine a down-and-out arc. Tragedy strikes and Connor can't cope. He loses his job and friends. He's out drinking his sorrows away, walking through the rainy streets and suddenly finds himself in front of a familiar building. "Momo..." he mutters. Inside the BL Academy, laughs and the sounds of glasses and dishes shuffling around reverberates around, with smiles and warm affection shinning forth. The door chime sounds, and a man soaked to the bone walks in. He pauses at vestibule, unsure of what to say, about to turn around and leave, but before he can frantic footsteps sound out and someone catches him by the arm. "Connor!", Momo exclaims, "What happened to you?" Connor replies, "I don't know... I didn't know where else to go". Momo hugs him and says "You're always welcome here, Connor!" Momo bows him head hurriedly and looks up at him with the warmest smile Connor has ever seen. "Welcome home, senpai!"
