Nice update! I guess he’s most likely straight and at best repressed. I once had a close friend who claimed to be 100 percent straight but loved going with me to gay bars. Because he was so eager and just a vibe I wonder what his true sexuality was but who’s to say. The only thing for him though and people like that if he was lgbt he wouldn’t be able to form a community or friendships at the bar and I guess at most would be looking for discreet one night stands

It's becoming all too confusing to know anymore. It use to be gay bars were the "one place" were everyone was gay. Then gay guys started to bring straight women there. Gay bars now are really starting to faze out and a lot of gays are now going to straight bars with their gay/straight friends. My city in the 90's and early 20's had 7 bars, now it's down to 2. The annual pride event draws about 10,000 people but most are now attended by "friends of gay" or family members. It is so hard to find to another guy now without the apps unless you live somewhere that has a gay beach or a campsite to go to. Like you, I'm starting to feel my future partner is probably somewhere across the world.
