You're supposed to use dry, unsalted cottage cheese when you make ice cream with it. That may or may not be, available everywhere. I can only find it in some stores where I live.

And for all of you who are trying to avoid sugar by eating banana ice cream I need you to know that bananas are so filled with potassium and your body usually can't process all the potassium so it makes your sugar Spike really high as if you ate heaps and heaps of sugar. Therefore you may as well just go ahead and eat some ice cream and stick to the five basic food groups and eat moderate portions and if you keep your calorie count under 1500 you will lose weight if you keep it at 1500 you will maintain your weight. Get up every morning and walk for 20 minutes or go for a walk after dinner every night. You don't have to do much else and you will lose weight and being good shape and if you really want to shoot for the stars maybe go swimming once a week because swimming actually burns calories like nothing else and it's very low impact on your joints which is optimal. Or you can keep trying the latest food hack and end up with some kind of weird backfire and if these things truly worked then doctors would have already been reporting on it but since they don't...... I have made it for years. 2 very ripe bananas, cottage cheese or ricotta cheese, Maple flavouring, walnuts and a bit of milk (mine is plant based because I am allergic). Mix it up. Put in freezer for 40 min to a hour and eat. Delicious.

If you add regular cottage cheese like ricotta it should be tasty but I know that in America that’s harder to find and most of their cottage cheeses are weirdly salty and crumbly like feta so yh don’t use that unless you want salty ice cream but if you just want a nice smooth sweet ice cream try to get your hands on some regular cottage cheese (castelli is my favourite brand but I’m sure there are also much nicer ones around Europe particularly in Italy)

i just found out that cottage cheese available in us has salt. but if you want to avoid it you can make your own cheeze, without salt and that would work just fine. luckily in India we get paneer which is unsalted and works great for me. maybe tofu can work too, just guessing. you can also just have normal ice cream, its not necessary to healthify everything.
