Concrete guys are such whiny babies LOL Says the retired concrete guy . The only thing I recall being burned when we were pouring concrete was horses . Worked at Cornell University building a building for the vet school. Right behind us was the incinerator where their experiments were deposed of. They toast a lot of horses . A few times a week we'd get to work and smell burning hide. About 11 AM it smelled like BBQ and lunch wasn't for another hour . On the street behind us a guy sold from a truck BBQ chicken . The sign where he parked said "Chicken infectious disease parking only " . He didn't sell a lot of chicken

You should get one of those combustor units that you park next to a burn pit and makes a virtually smokeless fire. They have portable ones that look like a giant dumpster that they use for disaster cleanup.

It's really nice when there is a limited amount of brush to contend with. Digging a generous hole to burn in is a great idea. Can't do that on large jobs with copious amounts to burn.
@arkansas13368 ай бұрын
Actually burning is the preferred method of disposal on a large job, less environmental impact! Too much cost for the customer for alternative methods and more undesirable when you calculate all of the "carbon footprints" created. I contracted this kind of work for 45+ years and I notified and worked closely with the EPA, State, counties and cities before each "burn job". Clean burning like Chris does was the disposal method that suited them best.

But we found out it was the neighbor and he said the smoke was freaking out his chickens. He is a very bad neighbor. He is raising fighting cocks. He also put a beehive on the property line next to my son’s house. They tore his ass up while cutting the grass. He jump off his lawn mower and ran like flash through the yard. It was fall down funny.

I find it INCREDIBLY HARD TO BELIEVE, that ashes light enough to float 100 yards would do anything negative AT ALL to poured concrete. Concrete is made with sand, rocks, lime etc, how would a quarter cup of dry ashes cause a problem. Sounds like a WHINY concrete crew to me.
